First time trying out this gem of a restaurant by the beach. Glad the sun came out it made it more beautiful outside while eating dinner.Food was delicious! We had the baked clams, rice ball with tuna and also an order of loaf bread with a delicious butter spread. My entrée was Jumbo shrimp with risoto so good if you like the seafood taste. Another entrée was a poke bowl fresh tuna, lobster, salmon, kani salad and rich topped with fresh mango and spicy mayo sauce delicious! Last entrée was the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and string beans also delicious and light.. No dessert was ordered we were all too full lol but im sure it would of been amazing as well... There is also a sushi menu as well.. There is variety of meals and apps you can choose from.. I believe the lunch menu is different from the dinner menu so definitely look online before you choose a time.. Atmosphere was nice there was a wedding going on while we were there so beautiful. I would definitely recommend to sit outside to see the beach and sunrise.
I've been a customer since the venue became Ocean years ago. Hadn't visited for almost 10 years. Experience was consistent with what I remembered.
The food is pretty good. We ordered a meatball and a crab cake appetizer. They were both tasty. The delicate sauce accompanying the meatball was really good. The crab cake was flavorful, the breadcrumb coating crispy without being greasy. Our hot lobster roll and ribeye steak were both "good." Kids burger and fries looked appetizing.
Service was good. Called in advance and asked if there was immediate seating outdoors for three. The person I talked to said yes. When we arrived we wanted to park our own car but both sides of the lot were closed and we had to use the valet. They said they were expecting to be busy. There was no one at the restaurant greeter desk when we arrived. Two team members quickly came. The restaurant was pretty empty. They asked if we had a reservation. We weren't sure how it was going to go from there. I said
We had just called and had been told we can sit outside with no wait. It was not a problem and we were seated outside on the third floor where the other customers were seated. Everything was smooth from that point.
Such a beautiful location on the beach. Location has always been one of the best kept secrets in my opinion. They also had live entertainment outside while we were there. We enjoyed the music. I remember the live music years ago during indoor dinner on the second floor too. It has always been a nice touch.
I can't remember if it existed years back too, but there was now a disclaimer on the bottom of the menu that says something along the lines of that groups of 4 or less can only have a table for 90 minutes. I don't know how long we were at our table, but it wasn't an issue for us during our visit.
Loved the sunset vibe and view! The food was pretty average .nothing wow, but also nothing to complain about. Service wasn’t nearly as bad as some reviews say. You can park yourself, which is a plus. Great spot for a small friends’ gathering. We were a group of 8, and there’s a 20% service charge.
Had the pleasure of celebrating my Husband’s birthday at Ocean on Saturday night. Not only was the view breathtaking but the service was impeccable. Our servers Zach and Anthony paid careful attention to make sure we were enjoying our experience and truly went above and beyond. I recommend the Crab Cake and Calamari. The kids enjoyed their cheeseburgers, husband loved the Salmon with Wild Rice and I had the Sushi which was absolutely delicious and fresh. This was our second time there within a week and continues to be our family favorite. ❤️ so lucky to have such a wonderful Restaurant so close to home!
Came on a sunday afternoon for lunch. The atmosphere is great, and the outdoor seats allow for good views of the ocean, although guests are prohibited from going to the beach area. The food was alright. The crab cakes and duck tacos were good appetizers. The $10 bread was alright, but nothing special. The squid calamari was very dry, and all the squid meat was shriveled and chewy. For entrees, the noodles of the ocean pasta were a little overcooked and mushy, although the sauce was pretty good. The halibut fish was fine, but the asparagus on the bottom was overcooked and mushy. The veal chop lacked salt and was overall underwhelming for its 65 dollar price tag. The lobster in the lobster roll didn't taste fresh, and some of the salt and vinegar chips weren't even fully cooked, they were still soft. They also didn't have any vinegar flavor.
