North Babylon Public Library

The library is nice, but I have to say one of the security guards, I believe his name is Frank is on a bit of a power trip honestly. On several occasions he’s asked both me & my nephew for our ids/library cards (I am over 21 years old). Just today my nephew had to go to the bathroom and he asked him for his school ID or Library card, he didn’t have it and so he wasn’t aloud to go in! I went in and he asked me if I was still in high school. Everyone else is really nice but this security guard is on a real power trip especially because it’s not the first time he has seen us in there! It’s not like we’re coming in to stir up trouble! No other library I’ve been to needs to see an ID or Library card to go in.

The assistance provided at the public library was truly exceptional, exceeding all expectations. The staff's knowledge and willingness to help were greatly appreciated during my visit. I found several books on various topics. The range of options included parenting to child development, which was impressive. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Very nice library! I was visiting family for an extended trip from our of state and had some time to kill so I decided to stop by the local public library. I don't know what it looked like before renovations, so I don't know what to compare it to in regards to negative reviews left by others, but I found the library too be fantastic. It had plenty of books! I found some that I was specifically looking for, and got a couple of recommendations from the front desk. Speaking of which, every staff member was super nice and helpful I had my son with me, and the librarian in the children's section helped him find some books too.
I was also impressed with all of the program offerings the library had listed.
I will definitely be coming back next time that I am in town.

I love this place! The people are nice and have great recommendations, definitely stop by if you wanna study or just have a good read
