NYLA HOUSE

I came here to pick up a Too Good to Go order. I walked in with a smile and said “hello” and was not greeted in return. I told the only person that was looking at me from behind the counter that I was picking up a Too Good to Go order. That person replied, “a what?” The cashier then chimed in and said “I do that over here”. Not sure why I wasn’t greeted back so I could know that as soon as I walked in. The cashier made it a point to let me know that I shouldn’t be swiping my phone to confirm the pick-up in the app and that the restaurant is supposed to. I thought that was odd because the thought of the staff in a restaurant touching my phone to swipe just doesn’t seem right. I informed her that I had been doing it this way since I started using the app to which she replied “well you’ve been doing it wrong”. The interaction was off putting and it made me change my mind about ordering something aside from my Too Good to Go order.

The burger and juicy bird sandwich were phenomenal and cooked to perfection. I visited on a Wednesday and they had a DJ and a special menu for the evening. I asked for a dry red wine and was recommended the Chianti, which was very nice. The glasses were also a cute touch.
Very calm vibe. Would come back again to have a coffee and do some work away from home.

**Also a very cute space to host an event. I've seen they had classes and other gatherings in the space.

I had the double smash burger and it was seasoned to perfection and the bun warm and toasted. Fire! I also came in on an early evening and there was a DJ curating the vibes and she welcomed me when I came in. It was great experience! I would definitely come back.

This place is amazing! Came in here one night with friends. The music was on point, wine was flowing and the service was impeccable. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was delicious--cheesy with a kick! Please come out and support this business!

Nyla House was my safe haven during my month in NYC- the drink, the staff, the food, the vibes, everything is amazing! I fully recommend stopping in. It’s clear that they are a community-centric establishment that shows love and care to anyone that steps through the door
