Oakdale Barbers

Really disappointing. While Alex, the owner, is friendly, super efficient and all around wonderful, his creepy associate he leaves there when he’s off is absolutely NOT! He has literally no idea what he’s doing. All my son wanted was a low tapered fade on the sides but apparently he doesn’t know how to actually fade hair. And worst part was that he was literally vaping while “cutting” his hair! It was wild! Without a care in the world! Hey buddy, get your dirty smoke away from my son’s face!!!

Alex is the best barber around!! He takes him time and has always given my son and I great haircuts. He is great with young kids and eliminates any fear they may have sitting in a barber chair. I highly recommend Alex and Oakdale Barbers!!

I took my 2 year old son here for his first haircut. If you’re looking for a barber shop to take your child to for their first haircut, this is the place. As soon as you walk in, you see a wall of pictures of kids who got their first haircut here. There are toys for them to play with while they wait. Alex was so great with my son. My son wasn’t keen on the idea of getting his haircut. Alex played with some of the toys with my son when we got there until he was comfortable. Overall the experience was great. My son was happy and I was happy with the result. Alex even gave us a little bag with my sons hair in it. On the way home, my son was asking to go back and get his haircut again. We will definitely be back for his next cut.

Moving to Oakdale this year, I had hoped to find a local place to get my boys haircuts. Otherwise, I’d be driving west 30 minutes out of the way. I am so glad I found Alex at Oakdale Barbershop. First, the cuts are great. You can tell Alex knows exactly what to do dependent on the customer in the chair. My wife is very picky and she is thrilled every time they come home.

Next, Alex is amazing with the kids. I have multiple with special needs. He makes them comfortable and has the demeanor that is very friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. Even my oldest, who doesn’t like haircuts, likes Mr. Alex.

I highly recommend Oakdale Barbershop for all of the reasons expressed and worth mentioning is the price is fair and I have never after 5 visits now had a long wait to be seen. 5 stars all the way!

Alex is truly the best with kids! My kids wouldn’t sit with anyone. Alex is patient, kind and professional. The kids love him and I drive a half hour to him because the place is always clean and happy atmosphere. I like how he sprayed sanitizer on my kids hands after this haircut. He has Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer readily available at the shop for customers. My wife and I recommend this barbershop to everyone. Haircuts and shaves are great.
