I took my family there for the first time a few weeks ago. The atmosphere and the service was great. The food however, was not. Other than the filet mignon and chicken Lucy we enjoyed , the rest of the food was sub par. The steamed vegetables were very raw, the baked potatoes we ordered were not all the way cooked. Tonight we decided to give it another try, but this time we Doordashed it. The shrimp scampi my wife got was flavorless and the chicken sandwich I ordered, came well… raw (see picture). This is extremely disappointing for a local restaurant. I will not be giving my business to them any further.
One word: Amazing! We came on a week night and walked right in. The service was great! Quick, attentive, and very accommodating. The food was absolutely incredible, if you're looking for any steak and/or surf n turf ... come here!! We will be back!
Overall, we had a really nice meal here for our first visit on Saturday night. I made a reservation online a few days ahead for 6:30 pm. We arrived a few minutes late, waited a few minutes for the hostess and wee told it would be about 15-20 minutes for a table. The restaurant was packed, but I was a bit surprised at having to wait considering we had a reservation, and in my experience, even in a crowded restaurant, a reservation means your table is held for you. I don’t blame them for not holding a table open when the entire restaurant was full, I’ll just keep that in mind on our next visit and go on a less busy night or make an earlier reservation. Since the restaurant was packed, the noise level was pretty high and service was a little slow all night, but Diane did a great job and it gave us a chance to enjoy our appetizers and drinks before the food came. We got our appetizers around 7:30 followed by our food around 8 pm, so it was not a quick meal since we were there about 2 hours total, but the food was worth it. We started out with the pretzel bites and candied bacon appetizers, both good choices. I wish the pretzels had been a little hotter since they came out lukewarm, but they were tasty and the bacon app more than made up for it. For entrees, my husband ordered the NY strip, I ordered the boneless rib eye (the online menu has a bone-in version, but I didn’t see it on the actual menu or specials), and my son picked the Jamison burger. The steaks and sides were good, though I’ll never be excited about steamed vegetables, but my mash was well seasoned and creamy, and my son’s burger was really flavorful and he loved it. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked but unfortunately my rib eye was closer to medium than mid-rare. They replaced it without issue and provided fresh sides along with my new steak. The replacement was cooked much better, but unfortunately, I was stuffed at that point and had to take most of it home. It tasted just as good the next day. Cocktails are pretty standard, and fairly priced, though we did have to snag a cocktail menu from another table. So overall, the food was pretty good and I’d come back again at a less crowded time. The manager and Diane were really apologetic about my overcooked steak, and they comped us dessert to go, and gave us 2 slices of chocolate cake, which was really appreciated. The cake was fudgy and rich and next time I’ll have to save room for the churros. Considering it was our first time here, I’d say they really made sure we were happy with our meal and experience.
A very good friend recommended this steakhouse by giving me a gift card for my birthday.
The ambiance is great...the wood burning fireplace sets the pace, and your experience moves forward from there.
The spirits were fine and waitstaff were always there making everyone feel at home.
Our first time to visit. We were not aware one should request a reservation for a Saturday night but we were able to get a table.
Our waitress was so accommodating with us adding a fifth person.
Fresh bread and butter were brought to thr table while we chose our meal. Appetizers were ordered. Delicious clams in a butter and garlic sauce served with crisp garlic bread. We ordered across the spectrum of entrees. A Jameson Burger, prime rib and surf and turf.
Each dish was a large portion made to the correct requested doneness. The Lobster was sweet and fresh. The steaks were tender and flavorful. Veggies were steamed to a perfect tenderness.
Looking forward to coming back on a week night when it is a little less busy
Note: i grew up on a farm in the midwest ranch and farm that raised grass fed beef. I am spoiled with good beef. Tonight was well worth it.
