The hotel requested that I leave a review via email, so I did, though it seems they didn’t appreciate my honesty. The room was clean, and the food was okay for a 2-star hotel. However, I had an unpleasant experience at check-in. The staff member, Bayona, was unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of explaining things politely, she simply said that this is how they do it here and refused to provide a receipt for a room I was required to prepay along with an ** additional deposit ** something that was never disclosed when I booked. Who pays for something blindly without getting a receipt? At every other hotel I’ve ever lodged at, I typically pay for the room after my stay and have never been asked for a pre-hold on my card.
When I went to get my luggage, I ended up going down the wrong hallway without an elevator because she gave no directions, just handed me the room card and said this is your room, without any other instruction. When I returned to ask for clarification, she pointed and smirked while scrolling on her phone. Pretty passive-aggressive behavior for someone in a customer service role.
Your customers are paying guests and a human beings! Unfortunately, the hotel’s response was that Bayona was properly following policy with no acknowledgment or apology for her behavior. That was my main concern. I’ve since noticed that other reviews mention similar issues with the staff. I thought the purpose of a review was to offer honest feedback, but it seems this hotel doesn’t value that.

Great hotel. Nice clean rooms and lobby. Friendly staff. Very convenient. Free breakfast was decent. The excellent diner in front of the hotel was a real bonus too. No need to drive for dinner after driving all day.

The rooms are nice, clean and modern. The property as a whole is in good condition and our personal experience with the staff was very good. My wife and I travel with a lot of electronic devices and their rooms have tons of outlets and USB ports. Breakfast was good and since you off on your day satisfied.

Are we drive an 18-wheeler truck, and it's great that they had enough parking to hold our truck.

As we travel across the country, we stay at multiple hotels every month. I love seeing the differences in the hotels, and unfortunately, this one was not one of my favorites.

They really just had the best price for the evenings that we stayed, and that's the only reason we chose them instead of the Comfort Inn & Suites across the way.

One thing I really enjoyed about this hotel was the fitness center. They had a lot of free weights. The only thing I didn't like about the fitness room was the fact that it was so small.

It could only accommodate two people comfortably at one time. Any more than that, you'll be ready to leave for fear of catching something 😞

The fitness center has fresh towels and ice-cold water. They also had free weights, and all of their workout machines were functioning. My husband and I had a great workout.

They did provide regular and decaffeinated coffee free to their guests located in the lobby. The lobby was warm, comfortable, and inviting. You could sit there and enjoy "check-in" TV or just watch regular ole TV.

Back to the room... Not only did the room have a 70s feel and look, the furniture was misplaced and it just needed better feng shui. don't get me wrong, the room was large but not decorated and unorganized.

We had to rearrange the furniture while we were there to feel more comfortable. However, we did put everything back in place before we left.

The bathroom was large and sanitized, at least the signs of the toilet said it had been sanitized. The shower pressure could have been better. The water came out light and airy, and nobody really likes that in the shower 🤷🏽

There was a huge mirror on the wall which doubled as the closet door. My husband had to discover that; I would have never known.

They had a great refrigerator. I mean, it got extra cold. And it was large enough to hold all the leftover food that we got from the I-84 Diner. One meal from that diner provided 3-4 servings.

Overall, we had a pretty decent stay here. The people were really friendly, including the hotel customers. What can I say...I love New York!
