The location is good, but the hotel is quite run-down. No one ever told me that it was no longer Wingate by Wyndham and had changed to Spark by Hilton. I would have appreciated being informed beforehand so I could decide whether to stay or not.
Customer service is poor — honestly, no one even says good morning or hello. The breakfast is exactly the same every day, and the area is very small, especially between 7–9 a.m.
In my room, the bathroom water took over 5 minutes to get warm, which was inconvenient. I also felt unsafe staying on the first floor since there’s no fence or divider in the back; anyone could easily walk up to the window.
The only real positive is the location, though there isn’t much nearby besides a Walmart.
Overall, a disappointing stay — I just wish the staff had been more honest and welcoming.
We stayed one night, four rooms. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews, the rooms were renovated, clean and comfortable. I'm attaching a photo of our room, slept in so excuse the unmade beds but I just wanted to show that the room was perfectly fine, even better than most budget hotels, which this is. The breakfast isn't great and the place isn't fancy but it bears no resemblance to some of the recent reviews I read after I booked it. I was surprised at how absolutely fine it was
For the price find a better hotel. I gave it some star only for service and location. These poor house keepers I’m sure do their jobs well but with little resources, beds were made tight and neat but putting on stain blankets and sheets. We had to change rooms because the comforters were so stained we could not bring ourselves to sleep in them. Second room was better but still stains. They never told us the hotel was under construction so we had to deal with the sound of the beeping of construction machines all day. Do yourself a favor and go to the Hyatt house across the street.
