This is the best vacation that my wife and I have had. We celebrated our 23rd marriage anniversary. We were looking for something "all inclusive" and wow, didn't we find it. We literally were only in our room to just sleep or take small breaks from the super packed, fun days. They have a daily printed itenerary showing all the games and activities they have scheduled. This is the perfect setup for sure. AT NO EXTRA COST, We skied (They provide all the equipment), snow tubed ("magic carpet" takes you back to the top of the slopes), ice skated, did horseback riding, played bingo, ping pong(I won the tournament 😉), mini golf, several trivia's, a scavenger hunt, played alooot of laser tag, did the archery, shot the BB guns at the glowing targets, hung out in the hot springs pool....it was so amazing. Now, I must warn you that you will eat, eat more and eat more. We ate so much that every night we were miserable because the food was so good. In between the main meals, we enjoyed the "Chef's tasting & different alcoholic punches" while playing more games they always setup. We, "THE WICKY'S" won a lot of RHR Buck-a-roos that we used to purchase items from their gift shop and even wine during dinner. IT'S LITERALLY LIKE A CRUISE SHIP WITHOUT THE SHIP. On top of all that goodness, we must mention their OUTSTANDING STAFF! They ALL were so friendly to not just us, but to each other. We can tell they really love working for the ranch. It snowed heavy as soon as we got there but it did not slow operations, as the staff constantly cleared snow off walkways, the driveways etc. They even were still smiling and in good-spirits while doing it. We can tell they definitely support our Military, as they showed it for sure. They picked us up from the Stewart Airport and drove us back at the end of our stay. This is a place we will come again and again!!!!
10/10 experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, and the service was somehow even better. There were so many activities to choose from that the weekend flew by. We’ve done trips like Legoland and Great Wolf Lodge, and this experience easily surpassed both.
Our children actually cried when it was time to leave after an incredible weekend filled with tubing, the indoor water park, jacuzzi time, horse petting, laser tag, comedy and magic shows, tastings, and endless fun in the game and arcade rooms.
We typically avoid crowded places, and this resort truly stands out, the layout is so well designed that you never feel overwhelmed or surrounded by too many people. A fantastic, memorable getaway for our entire family.
Just spent a few days at Rocking Horse Ranch with my daughter and had a blast. The staff is very friendly. There are tons of activities to keep the kids busy like ice skating, skiing, snow tubing, and swimming just to name a few. If thats not enough then you can go on trail rides that are catered to all skill levels. All of the horses are so beautiful and very well trained. Dont miss the daily Horse Parade, its a lot of fun watching the horses follow each other on their way to work (walking to stalls) and home (walking to pasture). If you're looking for a fun family getaway, this is the place. Only 3 hours from Southern New England and only 1 hour and 15 minutes from NYC. We cant wait to go back.
We recently stayed at the Rockinghorse Ranch and I was honestly blown away with the amount of activities that are offered in a daily basis. The staff are all extremely friendly. Amazing customer service from everyone we interacted with. I will say Sergio, I think is his name, who appeared to be the dining manager... PHENOMENAL. We went on the horseback riding which was much longer of a ride than I thought it would be, night snow tubing, archery.. you name it. They offer tons of indoor activites such as bingo which was a huge hit, trivia, bame that tune. The evening shows every night (magic show, etc). Daily snacks between meals. Oh also my daughter has a peanut allergy and they were so accomodating. My kids loved it. We will definitely be back!
This was an absolutely amazing experience. Although the resort isn’t very large, that actually turned out to be a big advantage. It was extremely easy and comfortable to get around with our 6- and 4-year-old children, and there were plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The warm outdoor pool surrounded by snow was truly magical. Breakfast was generous, and every dinner menu item was delicious. Since everything was included, we didn’t have to worry about extra expenses during our stay, which made the trip even more relaxing.
All of the staff were incredibly friendly, and the entire resort was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this resort for families with children under 10. We are already planning to visit again in May!
