Salon On the Hudson

I ended up needing to make an emergency hair appointment for a banquet, after it rained non-stop for 4 days for my cadet's WP graduation!
Lisa, the hair dresser I met at this salon, was so wonderful! She did my hair and I loved it! We were chatting and I ended leaving the salon looking and feeling great! The salon was busy but spacious, so everyone had room. They were on time with their schedule, professional, and had convenient parking (important for those from NYC) - all just minutes away from West Point. They had reasonable fees and my hair lasted for 3 days even through the drizzle and air moisture!
So grateful I found place.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! From getting a hair cut to getting my eyebrows done, everything is always perfect.Not only is the service great, the people who work there are even better. I took my daughter here for her first salon haircut on a mommy daughter date, and they did not disappoint! Allison was so kind and made my daughter feel comfortable and special. She curled my daughter's hair, which she didn't have to. I got an excellent cut, exactly how I asked for it. The salon itself was clean and someone was promptly sweeping up cut hair. We are both thrilled to have found this place and will be back in a few months!

This is my second time coming back and this will be forever my place while I live in this area or at least a 40 mile radius! A couple months ago I went for a haircut with Lisa which I absolutely loved and yesterday I went back for just a wash and a blow-out. She gave me a relaxing scalp massage with the shampooing, just fabulous! The products they use smell so good too! She then curled my hair and made me feel beautiful for my wedding anniversary evening with my husband. Thank you so much Lisa! A little extra that I appreciate about sitting in Lisa’s chair is that she is friendly with conversations but not overly to where she has you talking all the time. Relaxing and some simple conversations here and there. Just perfect! I already booked my follow-up trim for late September.

I live in Atlanta but was attending an event at USMA West Point for my son and wanted to have my hair and makeup done. Salon on the Hudson was recommended and my experience was fantastic. Kristin styled my hair and Lindsay did my makeup, and they are amazing! So kind, professional and very experienced. I left with the exact look I was hoping to achieve. I have tried twice to have a stylist in Atlanta replicate the crown braid Kristin did and have been unsuccessful. I can’t wait for the opportunity to visit them again. They are a gem so if you are in the area I highly recommend this sweet Salon on the Hudson.
