SAM'S BARBER SHOP

I’m a big fan of Sam’s and Sam himself. I have brought my two sons, 3 and 7, to Sam and he’s always super kind and does a great job. We make appointments online and never wait when we arrive. Another barber shop in the area is always too crowded and always gave lop-sided haircuts. Not Sam. Even when my son has the giggles from the clippers or can’t sit still, Sam does a fantastic job. He will have long-term regular customers in us.

First time I came it was great and impressively fast, forgot his name--he was slimmer and well dressed.

This time a nice older guy was there--we had a great conversation. But it looked pretty off; he cut *really* high on the sides. Made me uneasy looking at myself but I didn't know what to say. I think he could tell he messed it up, and I didn't want to sour the vibe. When I got a closer look in the mirror in my car, it was messy. Many hairs weren't even cut at all but obviously stood out; it seemed fine from a distance but up close it looked evidently scuffed. Stopped by "In the Cut" over on Main Street to fix it with a proper fade on the sides and back to fix it. Ironically, they have way more bad reviews, so I was scared, but they fixed it up to what it really ought to be in the first place, so I'll consider them next time. Their input: the sides were really messed up, but the back was almost okay.

Maybe just bad luck, perhaps we got too distracted in conversation.

Sam cut our first sons hair when he was around a year old. He did a great job and was very patient with our son. Not only was he super professional he really tried to comfort him and make it a great experience for his first cut.

We just brought our second son who is also one, and our other son back for a recut. They weren't very happy to be there but sam was very professional and tried to keep them cool and calm.

Awesome no-frills, cash-only barber shop with skilled barbers. John cut my hair yesterday and really did a great job. Definitely recommend to anyone in the Hudson Valley

I always get a perfect haircut from Sam or John. The AI description says this is an appointment only barber shop. However, I have never made an appointment, and I’ve always gotten in either immediately or very quickly even on a peak day. The place is really nice, even serene. Good vibes here all the way. Fairly priced as well.
