Everyone was kind and professional, tne only negative comment would be the night staff. Some of them were not very nice and unprofessional, and took it upon themselves to decide whether I needed pain meds or not rather than talk to the nurse. Other than that most nurses were great. A special thanks to Heather And Lisa, two nurses that were exemplary. They were great, intelligent, smart, kind helpful. Another special thanks to Jasmine 2 as There are two jasmines both very good But a special thanks Jasmine 2 Who always went above and beyond what was required of her, She’s a role model so whatever technician the facility should operate by, thanks, Jasmine I love you. Also a special thanks to Ann Nelson who came and was a help with some issues. She track everything going on to assure things are done, right.
Also Nicole and social services was also a big help especially in discharge.
For the most part, professional, and kind people. Nurses were good a special thanks to Heather and Lisa these two nurses were exemplary. Excellent kind, and very knowledgeable. Another very important individual that worked very hard and was extremely helpful and kind was Jasmine 2 as the there are two name jasmine, both where excellent kind and very helpful however, Jasmine 2 stands out as someone who was very nice and kind and helpful to me making my stay bearable. Please give her thanks and kudos for being very good at our job. Also great thanks to Ann Nelson was there to make things happen, a kinder individual would be hard to find. Also, Nicole in social work was very kind and helpful. One last shout how to Lou in physical therapy, was a huge help to getting me moving and going in the right direction I think you should give kudos to Lou. He’s really good at what he does.
I was sent there after a total knee replacement ,which I thought would be fine since I was there a few years ago but that was when it was still wingate.I was very disappointed as it was much better before the the changeover to taconic. There were some good staff ,shout out to Heather she was a great nurse and the pt and ot therapists were awesome very kind and helpful.one of the problems I believe was the call bells in my end didn't make any noise just turned a light on at the desk so if they didn't see the light I was out of luck,a few times especially on overnight shifts I would be in a lot of pain and waited a hour for someone to answer the call button while I heard rooms down the hall call and be answered and turned off The food was really bad, a lot of the time I went hungry ,lost 8 pounds in the two weeks I was there. The final straw was my insurance said it was last covered day I tried to get ahold of someone to let me know what was going on .I called social workers ,case management.admisions, and even the administrator nobody answered and if I was able to leave a voicemail they were not returned, this went on the entire day from 9 am till 430 when a nurse was notified but nobody from downstairs ever spoke to me.I had gradually started packing my things as I could because I didn't know what to do. I finally signed myself out the next day. And got picked up I just couldn't take it there anymore.i would urge family members to not send loved ones to this place it was a shame the place went downhill like this after the changeover
My friend James has been in the facility since the day before Thanksgiving of 2025, he is in rehab for a knee replacement.. His pain meds are always late.. This is because his call bell doesn't make a noise.. He has told them several times.. Nothing has been done.. This is Monday, December 1, bed hasn't had no clean sheets or pillow cases.. I changed his clothes yesterday so he at least he felt clean.. Was told yesterday that he would get X-ray because he is uncomfortable from constipation.. Make sure there's no problem .. But they are trying to help through meds. But some staff is good though.. Can't take it out on all of them.. Have to give credit where it is due..
