How can you beat $1 burgers. It’s a great spot for locals. Priced right for the people that live there. It’s what community is all about instead.

It's good. I do not eat lobster or seafood my husband loves the lobsters he says they're great! Great happy hour many options for delicious appetizers. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and attentive even when they're busy. Great bartenders as well, it's a lively spot to hang out and long time staple ... I would call it a historic icon of Port Jeff! Things to note… bring cash, you order your food and drinks at the bar and pay and then a server will bring them to you. So note which table you would like to sit at and let them know at the bar. Bring back the basketball hoops machine!

I have been loving each and every visit to Tara’s nearly 40 years. It is the quintessential pub located in Port Jeff. Love the bartenders and staff along with the wide array of food options. Its unbeatable in value and gathering place. Highly recommendable!! The Cheers of Pj 👍

Tara's has unbelievably excellent food for an unbelievably affordable price. Our server, and everyone else I interacted with here, employees and other customers, were friendly and laid back. This place is a legend and a gem on Long Island. It's unpretentious, old school and I still love it. I can't drink alcohol right now but if I could, I would definitely do so here again. I've been here several times in the past for food and drink, and many times when I was a kid. One thing to keep in mind: Tara Inn is cash only, though they do have an ATM machine that charges $3 per transaction. Also, I miss RC Cola being served here. Tara's is where I first began my love of RC, when I was a kid. Definitely check this place out if you've never been here.
