I really liked Dr.Tedford. He is patient, kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
I had been seeing my Optometrist for many years on a regular basis. I was going once a year as told by him and then later on, he wanted to see me every 6 months sometimes every 3 months then it was back to 6 months to a year. From as long as I can remember I always asked him about my cataracts, and if I had Age Related Macular Degeneration. He would always say I am pre-disposed to AMD but I do not have it. I began to notice my eyes were dripping water, they were red, and I had a red bump on the bottom left eyelid.
My Optometrist said I didn’t have glaucoma, nor AMD, but the cataracts had to come out. He wrote me a prescription. He didn’t tell me what I had; he just said the cataracts had to be removed and let him know when I was ready. Well, I was so upset about how I was treated I starting looking for an eye doctor. I called a few optometrists and one gave me a name of an Ophthalmologist (who is a doctor) not just someone who prescribes eye glass. This was at the beginning of September 2024, and he gave me the name of Dr Tedford who is an Ophthalmologist, Medical Doctor, and I saw him and he gave me a thorough exam. After he examined my eyes, he told me that I have many issues. (Glaucoma and Age-Related Macular Degeneration) I had several visits with Dr. Tedford and when my condition improved enough, he sent me to a Cataract Specialist. I saw the cataract doctor and he helped prepare me for surgery. The cataract doctor had me see a retina doctor who made sure I was a candidate for the lens transplant, and he too recognized the seriousness of my conditions.
I am no longer a patient of my prior Optometrist. I have been under the care of Dr. Tedford from September 2024 to the present. With Dr. Tedford knowledge, excellent care, and supervision throughout this entire time, I hesitate to think of what could have happened to my vision. Dr. Tedford`s office staff is caring, courteous, and always relayed my messages and concerns to the doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Tedford, Ophthalmologist, and I give him 5 stars.
Lots of people waiting around for their eyes to dilate. In and out like cattle.
I didnt get a good exam, dealing with issues like floaters. Chronic dry eye and eye lid issues.
None of them seemed to be of any importance Asked for meds for dry eye and was told my insurance sucked and I should change it. And that they wouldn’t pay for any of the drops.
I asked for a pair of dark temporary shade to drive home after dilation and was told they don’t have any??? Old, dirty, run down office and equipment.
Total time of exam less then 10 minutes. Waiting time over 1 1/2 hours.
Not sure why my sons email is coming up here but I went for an emergency eye consultation on 6/14/2022 (Quinones) & the secretaries were super sweet to fit me in there busy schedule. I had a nasty eye infection and Mr Tedford nailed the right meds to help me get better. In one day I saw the difference. Before going to him I was seen at urgent care in Crystal Run Newburgh and was given antibiotic drops for my eye which made it worse. He knew exactly how to treat my eye (Dr Tedford) I want to say I highly recommend him. He is fast and he really went into details about everything. Explained to me everything. Im highly satisfied with everything . If anyone needs a good eye specialist this is the place to go!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you again
