The Atelier at Flowerfield

I recently completed an introductory workshop for oil painting with Randall DiGiuseppe. The class and instructor were both outstanding. I had never painted with oils before, and Randall created the perfect environment to begin and learn with confidence. His effective explanation of materials, skills, and key concepts made the time engaging, informative, and enjoyable. The workshop has even impacted my day-to-day awareness of color and light as I consider subjects to paint. I learned exactly what I needed to continue painting on my own, and will definitely look for additional opportunities to develop my skills further. The entire staff and environment has been very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend The Atelier at Flowerfield.

I have been taking classes at Atelier for about 2 years, initially drawing and now painting. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. The classes are nicely balanced between group lessons, personal time to work on one’s project, and individual one on one instruction. The instructors have all been excellent, very knowledgeable and superbly trained, yet able to teach to all levels including beginners. My present instructor, Bill Graf, is terrific, always supportive and encouraging. I am very happy I found Atelier and look forward to my weekly session.

Great studio with highly skilled and trained instructors. Personal one to one instruction. All skill levels and mediums are available. The staff at The Atelier are SO NICE, a big difference from other art schools. I highly recommend for the beginner to the advanced students. Bonus- Meet people with similar interests.

I am a student at the Atelier for the past 3 years and enjoy the small classes which provide individual attention from the excellent faculty. The faculty are able to teach all levels, from beginner to experienced, and offer not only the tools and guidance to become a better painter, but also a very positive and encouraging atmosphere. Renowned artists join the faculty in teaching the studio and plein air classes and workshops. I thoroughly enjoy the lecture series which include talks and slides on art history, art collections, art and medicine, the emerging artist, and more. The Atelier's exhibition space also offers students, faculty and guest artists a venue to show their works during special shows. I am fortunate and happy to be associated with this very special studio.

My teenaged son started taking classes here in 2014; I began in 2015. We have both been taking classes ever since. The instructors are highly skilled artists who care about your development and encourage you to grow. The studio environment is warm, creative, and inviting. I have found new friends among the teachers and students. The studio offers classes, lectures, gallery exhibitions..so many opportunities to explore the world of art.
