We had the worst experience at Flynn’s today. We’ve been here in the past and their service used to be good, but this visit was completely disappointing. The older gentleman who seated us was extremely rude and very unwelcoming.

We ordered our first round of drinks and appetizers, and the service was painfully slow. They eventually brought the drinks and appetizers but didn’t bring us any plates for nearly 15 minutes — and that too only after we asked multiple times.

On top of that, their staff clearly needs training. One of our friends asked for a Jack Daniels, and the server said they don’t carry it — which was completely untrue. We saw the bottle sitting right there at the bar.

At that point, we decided to leave. We didn’t continue our meal at Flynn’s and instead went elsewhere for the rest of our drinks and dinner.

Very disappointing, especially given our past experiences here.

2 stars because the service was good, views are nice (on the water), decent drinks, and a fun atmosphere. But the food is sooo bad! And for expensive prices it's not acceptable. A $25 small flatbread tasted like a child made it at a pizza class. The lobster roll had no butter or sauce, the bread roll was rock hard, and the lobster was cheap/flavorless. I know Fire Island can get away with lower quality food, but this food was too bad and for prices higher than good restaurants in Manhattan it's not worth it. Get drinks here, but bring your own food to the beach or try somewhere else.

Oh and large fee for paying by card and cash only at the bar. As if we are not in the 21st century

I came here via the Captree ferry for the Father’s Day brunch seafood buffet. Each ticket came with one lobster and endless meat options and sides. No alcoholic beverage were included in the package, but were available upon request. There were a lot of people on the ferry, leading to inconsistent service when sitting at the restaurant. There was live music, and bathrooms were filled with variety of lotions, hair, care, products, and dental necessities. you had the option once done with your meal to walk around on Ocean Beach until the ferry departed back to cap tree. Parking at cap tree was easy, and an eight dollar charge. food was hot, lines were long, but if you are attentive to other people, it will go quickly.

Had a great lunch there. It was a busy Sunday with an outdoor party going on. But the establishment is big and our family of 5 with kids found a comfortable space there. Beautiful bayside dining. Food was delicious. Our waitress informed us on “off the menu” items - I had lobster tacos that were delicious! Kids were happy about kid-friendly menu and the curly fries.

There is a food choice of menu or buffet.
The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and an enjoyable value, and included a nice dessert.
The Wait Staff was kind, quick and efficient. And always greeted us with a smile.
The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. And I can't wait to return.
. . . .And the view was breathtaking.
