Great experience. Show quickly envelopes you in great music and a local vibe. Entertaining and a bit of history lesson.
I went to the concert of Nicole Zuraitis. It was a superb experience at Jazz Loft. It is small venue, but cozy and I think this is what makes this place so special. The singer, the band and the ambience was spectacular. This place is a hidden gem.
How any one can give less than 5 stars is telling of the short coming of certain people. This place is a hidden gem. A stellar museum with iconic pieces. Original items by famous Jazz icons. The only place of its kind in the world. Conerta every other weekend. Wednesday jam sessions. And April is Jazz appreciation month. Free admission! what is there not to like?!
We attend several performances a year at this small museum and cozy jazz performance space. The intimate setting makes for an authentic jazz experience where the music connects with audience and artist. We were fortunate to see Nicole Zuraitis’ Christmas performance that included a wonderful holiday vibe. Other venues like the Jazz Forum are distant with bridge crossings involved. LI is fortunate to have Tom Manual and the Loft in Suffolk County!
What a fun experience we had at this unique facility. The cover was 10 dollars for the show which included admission to the museum. I believe they have shows Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings...best to check the schedule. If you love jazz as I do, I highly recommend as there are so few options on Long Island. The room is upstairs and has a great vibe. Wine, beer, soda, chips and snacks are for sale. The proceeds go to the museum which was a joy to jazz history all in itself.
