The Sailhouse

Do yourself a favor, sit at the bar, and ask for Marlene. She makes the best drinks, has such a cool personality, and makes this experience worth every penny.
We tried the oysters, shrimp cocktail, fried calamari, and quite a few different kind of drinks. All of the team members were so kind, Marlene made our visit amazing, and we met some really cool people at the bar by just being friendly. The Sailhouse has amazing food, and the best vibe!

Cozy, elegant, quaint, friendly, and delicious, are probably the first descriptors that come to mind when I recall my experience dining at The Sailhouse in Tarrytown, with my wife last week. The food was very reasonably priced, especially considering how well prepared it was, and the generous portion sizes. Our steak and pork chop dishes were cooked to the perfect temperature, and seasoned appropriately. The staff were extremely polite. I saw one of them taking pictures of a group who were having a reunion, while another staff member was setting fires for families outside, as they waited to dine. The location is very beautiful with a gorgeous view of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge, and there are many other superlatives that I can use to describe my experience, but simply put, our experience at the Sailhouse really hit the spot! If you want to have an elegant and fun dining experience with delicious food and friendly staff, please do yourself a favor and dine at the Sailhouse!

This is a great place for a river view meal while we wait on our son's train coming from the city! We have been before but today is Sunday so I am able to enjoy the brunch menu! We both enjoyed chowder and then I had the fabulous Eggs Benedict with Lobster and Mark had a lobster roll! Perfect weather, perfect temperature and fabulous food!

surprised to see so many 5 star reviews, that was not our experience. We got seated right away last Wednesday at around 6pm. It took over 15min for a server to ask us for drinks. Dad was pissed, he had to get up to get the waiter to come over who helped the table next to us before then coming to us, not a good start. We ordered the calamari and a Cesar salad the moment the waiter showed up as well as some wines and the only hot tea they had for me was Lipton, that's fine for me though just wish I wasn't shivering for 15min waiting for a table touch. We ordered everything at the very first table touch some smash burgers a salad and a wrap. The Cesar salad never came and they tried to charge us for it, the waiter was straight missing the entire meal and the food was ok at best. The fries and canola I'm pretty sure were straight from the Sysco truck. While the atmosphere is amazing, for the price, I expect much better service and much better food. We won't be back.

Superb experience. Great service. Lovely views of the river. Tasty food. Katie our waitress was so nice and accommodating. Mike with ownership was extremely caring and involved. Excellent leadership and it tells. Had the gluten free salmon wrap and it was delicious. Try this place out!
