This is a hidden Gem in Northport !!!
No I am not getting Paid, No I am not friends with the owner or anyone whom works here.
I am writing this because I just hope this place stays in business. I know it is in a tough location as I have seen 4-5 Restaurants in this location over the past few years. So I'm selfishly writing this because I just want to get the word out to local people so that they utilize the power of referral required from our locals in order for them to be successful and so we can all continue to be able to enjoy their food.
I can tell you that without a doubt this is by far the best Pizza I have had in Northport in over 30 Years. The Sauce, the Crust, the Toppings or pretty much everything else about it.
This is as close to NYC or Brooklyn as you can get on the Island.
The Garlic knots are ridiculous, as is the Soup, the Chicken Parm, Francese both heroes, Pasta and dinners. Pretty much everything else we have ordered.
If you ask me what my "Go To" Pizza order would be. I would tell you to get a Large Pie with Bacon and Sausage and some Garlic Knots. You are free to thank me later.
I have not tried all of the different Kinds of Pizzas and such yet, but will plan on getting to every item eventually and hope they can become part of this community in all the years to come as I understand its very difficult for a new restaurant to succeed here as we are all stuck in our go to places for fear or change.
Please just go try it.....you will not be disappointed.
Well, let's just say we're still on the quest for the best pizza in the area. We ordered a sicilian pie with sausage and 1 slice of the famous buffalo chicken pizza, just to taste it. We asked for the sicilian well done, not burnt, and it still came underdone, and not hot. We heated it up in the oven at home which helped a bit, but it was lackluster and the sauce was too sweet for us. There was a meager amount of sausage on it and the sausage was sliced, not crumbled, which is not our preference. The buffalo chicken slice was quite good - very saucy/messy and filling but good flavor and not too spicy. My husband and I are divided on the crust - I thought it held up nicely to support the toppings, but he felt it was too bready. Would be 1 star review from us, but will give it 2 stars because we liked the buffalo chicken slice.
Editing the review to say that the owner “made good” on our first order. The replacement pizza was better, still not well done enough (they said well done is burnt?). Had to put it in the oven. Crumbled sausage much better than sliced. Adding a star for customer service.
Stopped in to check out the new pizzeria and met the guys that run the place. Amazing staff and the pizza was fantastic, bought a few different slices to try a few bites. Forget a few bites, everything home. Garlic knots were very, very good. Loved the place and will be a repeat eater
First time trying Vito’s pizzeria after reading the reviews and the pizza was delicious!! We ordered half pepperoni and half vegetable and it was cooked perfectly. The vegetables tasted so good and the cheese OMG sooo yummy!!! Will be coming back soon. Met the owner and he is super friendly.
