I have found a peace in my life that began at Wolfe’s Pond Park. I ride my mountain bike there very often. Hundreds of times I’ve gotten on my bike to clear my thoughts in the woods and it never disappoints. Wolfe’s Pond Park is a beautiful fun place to ride. If you’re looking for flowy trails in nyc, you will not find better trails in any other borough.
Wolfes Pond Park is a jewel in NYC and the birth place of the NYCMTB movement. The information above is incorrect as there are more than 11 miles of single track trail here. From right and technical to fast and flowie. Trail runners and riders alike love the many short and fast up and downs. On the eleven miles of trails it’s possible to get over 700’ of accumulated elevation. The park’s departments website has updated trail maps and the trails have new markers making for ease in following. Using the trailforks app has the most up to date trail conditions and routes.
Wolfe’s Pond Park is a great park with so much to offer! There’s a nice walking trail through the wooded area, a beautiful beach, and even a dog park. Kids can enjoy the playground, and there are clean restrooms and BBQ areas for family gatherings. The open fields are perfect for playing soccer or football, and the park also has full basketball courts and tennis courts. Parking is plentiful, and the entire park is very clean and well-maintained. Definitely one of the best spots in Staten Island to relax or spend the day outdoors.
A place you definitely should stop by during a weekend. It is a park & beach and the park is busy but not crowded. The beach is very rocky with shells and rocks but not glass, cans, and litter like other beaches! If you want to avoid the debris, you can go deeper into the ocean. There are no lifeguards, so beware. Great spot for a BBQ. The bathrooms are quite clean too. It's a little wet but what public bathroom isn't?
Great park for enjoying the day in Staten Island. Plenty of parking, BBQ area, beach as well as the pond.
