Yesterday I attended the Zion Strawberry Festival. This was the 194th time that it had been held. The day was warm and sunny. Quart containers of fresh strawberries were being sold for $9. Burgers were being made and there were hot dogs, assorted chips and drinks, potato salads and chili among other things to eat. Music was quite loud. The highlight were bowls of strawberries with shortcake and vanilla ice cream which was $6. The church and volunteers made this annual event enjoyable.

I went to the Strawberry Festival here, June 12, 2021. They also had hot dogs, hamburgers etc. In the church building they had collectibles and a flea market but the line was too long to get into that. The strawberries with ice cream, cake and whipped cream were just as good as it was when I was a child in the 1960's. They also had animals from a farm later in the day. There is a historic cemetery on the grounds.

Every year, the church has a great strawberry festival with food, music, and fresh strawberries. There's everything to buy, even stands for vendors to sell their goods, such as decorations or honey. There's a plethora of activities for kids, a bouncy house, face painting, games, and sand art, all led by the volunteers at Zion.
