So I have a 1974 Archer Cherokee 180 and it had the original old 70s red interior. So far we have done the seats and carpet. Just waiting on the side panels to be manufactured. Once that’s done I’ll add pics of the finished product. But let me tell you….the leather seats and carpet have turned out amazing. And the leather…it’s genuine top grain leather from Italy. Amazing product.

Used Airtex for complete interior of my 182RG and the kit came with everything I needed to complete the job. Did leather seats in Elk with vinyl side panels and carpet. Very happy with how it turned out. Had one minor issue and they corrected quickly. I’ve since upgraded planes to the A36 and will be using Airtex again. Highly recommend.

I have no idea if the product in any good, because I haven't got it. They won't ship by USPS which costs 1/4th of FedEx and only takes 3 days. I paid $115.25 for shipping and it was shipped 2 weeks ago. It has supposedly been sitting in Anchorage, Alaska for 12 days now! If I can't get a different method of shipping, I will never order from Airtex again!

Update: I finally received my order after 20 days. They sent it by FedEx to Anchorage, Alaska, then it disappeared for 18 days. It turns out that FedEx transferred it to the USPS, but without a mailing address. So, it ended up at another Post Office in our community that doesn’t even have the same zip code as ours. The only reason we got it is because the postal worker knew us and told my wife that they had it. Airtex could do MUCH better with their shipping options.

The product appears to be good quality. I’ll update after it is installed.

    Second Update:
The Flap Tunnel Carpet took a couple of hours to install and about three hours to prep the flap tunnel prior to installation. The most difficult part of the installation was getting the old glue off of the flap tunnel and burning the screw holes into the new carpet to keep it from being snagged by a screw and unraveling. Screw hole alignment has to be precise.

The product fit well, but required the typical trimming and fitting. Clamping the carpet in place to keep it from moving while marking, burning and trimming is extremely helpful, if not imperative. The finished product was beautiful.

Airtex can thank Deliver 2 Alaska, see below, and the fact that they did make an excellent product, for the upgraded rating. If they shipped USPS Priority Mail to Alaska, I would have given them a 5 star rating.

Also, for Alaskans: I found a relatively new company (1 1/2 - 2 years old I think) called "Deliver 2 Alaska". They are a freight forwarder out of Moscow, Idaho. It's quick and easy to set up an account with them. You can have items sent directly to them and they will forward them by whatever method you choose. Had I used them to get this flap tunnel cover, I would have saved half of my shipping costs, even after their commission was added, and got the product a couple of weeks earlier. So, if you find a company foolish enough to not ship to Alaska, and they have a product you need, this is the way to go. It's also good for companies who falsely advertise "free shipping', and then won't ship to Alaska, even for an additional fee. Use the free shipping to Idaho, then pay the shipping from there.

I own a 1974 Piper Arrow II and used Airtex Products to redo my whole interior (sans headliner). I would recommend their products hands down. They were easy to work with from start to finish. Photo directions were provided which made the install even easier than I had imagined. Dodd and his team were always willing to answer any of my questions no matter how simple they may have seemed. They were a pleasure to work with. Their pricing and products are fantastic.

I recently installed Airtex carpeting for my 1977 Cessna Cardinal 177B and am pleased with the overall fit and quality of the carpet. Some trimming around the pedestal was required, but the carpet fit as good the factory-installed carpet I removed. Time will tell how well it holds up, but 5 stars for fit, carpet quality, and ease of installation.
