Wonderful fellowship and a terrific community meal!
This church is the landlord for Washington Home Care, Washington Wellness, & Valley Spirit Wellness. First and foremost, the building in which we lease, enjoys stunning views of the church and the historic common. Second, we have observed how active the pastor is in Community Relations in terms of co-establishing “music on the green”, participating in a council of area church ministries, launching a weekly hootenanny at our local farm market, participating in Open Mic Nights at the independent book store, joining Washington Walks, training to become an EMT. She’s a leader, a mentor & a community sister. Brava to Robyn Gray.
I sang in the junior choir til I was confirmed at the age of 14. My mother, Carol, died a year later. The Service took place at The Church on The Green. It was one of the few times The place was packed to the rafters. They opened with Amazing Grace and It was a rap for me they to usher me out because I wailing so loud for my mom.
There are some very nice churches in town. I am of course biased. I got picked up and dropped off from the bus, bus#8, right there in front of The First Congregational Church of Washington, CT.
Acoustics? Awesome for singing and The bells.
I don't if it still does or not but the church used to let every child in town know what time it was. It would play Westminster chimes and then gong 1-12 letting us what time it was. I never wore a watch. -W.M. Simms
Home.
Old school multi faith house of worship. I was there for a funeral unfortunately, but a beautiful old school New England Pilgrim kind of place.
Good vibes
