This church is an absolute jewel! We had been out for a drive in the gorgeous area of Washington/Roxbury, Connecticut and stopped for a rest and explore. This beautiful stone church sits gracefully on a knoll overlooking Washington Valley and the Washington Green. It is a postcard come to life...so perfectly lovely and full of charm.

When we ventured inside this small, Episcopal church on a Sunday afternoon, our jaws dropped. The interior is amazingly beautiful. The intimacy of the church coupled with extraordinary architecture inside and out, beautiful paintings, stained glass...fresh flowers placed with such thought and care...AMAZING. It was like entering, yes, a hallowed space but also a place filled with ethereal and earthly charms and beauties. My husband and family were so surprised and delighted by this discovery. Well worth visiting and enjoying.

In fact, there is so much to explore and enjoy here. Afterwards, we found a restaurant, The Pantry. OMGosh...fantastic.

Back in the city, we could not stop talking about this enchanting St. John's Church, Washington Green and Washington Depot. It is a very sweet spot and we will come back often! Would love to live there permanently!
