Victoria and Natalia are excellent instructors. I have work with them over the last few months to learn to dance for an upcoming event. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, polite and easy to dance with. It has been a pleasure to learn from them. I have enjoyed it so much that I will continue to take lessons even after my event is over.
From the moment we began dance lessons for our wedding first dance, we knew that we were in good hands. Our instructor, Victoria, took everything into account--our bodies, our comfort levels, the song--and made the experience seamless. We also worked with several of the other instructors to perfect the dance, which was quite helpful. Furthermore, everyone at the dance studio was so welcoming and friendly. In the end, we felt like we were a part of a family. This was not a stressful process at all, in fact, it was the most enjoyable part of the entire wedding planning! Once we performed it, we felt comfortable. Many people commented on how beautiful it turned out. Highly recommend for any couples who want to wow for their first dance.

My fiancé and I have been taking lessons with Amanda for a few months in preparation for our wedding. She has been attentive and enthusiastic and has also placed us with Felix, Tsvet, and Stefan on occasion to hone in our skills. I would recommend taking classes for your wedding to feel comfortable and confident on your big day!
What a great bunch of instructors and owners. I have been going to Fred Astaire Shelton for just over one year and have been to every daily class for the entire year only missing classes about five times. I really love the exercise, and mental and physical stimulation. Keep up the great work your doing, it is greatly appreciated. The environment feeds my need to build social relationships. My wife and I have alot of fun at Fred Astaire Shelton.
Ballroom dancing is hands down the most physically demanding sport I have ever tried. I equate it to playing soccer and chess simultaneously. Not only is it an incredible physical work out, it’s also one of the few exercises that continuously checks my mental health. My struggle with control is real people and it was quickly exposed in my first lesson lol. Thankfully, after several years, I’ve learned to trust my teacher a little and allow him to lead. God bless the Shelton staff because they are as much therapists as they are dance instructors. They perform both equally well, always showcasing lots of patience, a positive and upbeat attitude, and with tons of laughter. I have grown so much and met so many new friends here and have even travelled with many of them to dance competitively around the country. I can honestly say, taking that first lesson was one of the best decisions of my life and Ive never experienced as much joy as I do when I’m on the dance floor. Get out of your comfort zone and sign up for a beginner’s lesson or pop in for a group class. I speak from experience, you don’t need talent or a partner to start, just the ability to take a chance on the unknown, and one of the world’s best teachers (aka Felix). Everyone at this studio is so welcoming, you’ll love coming here, no matter what level of dance you’re at. I promise, you won’t regret it!
