The place was clean and quiet. We didn’t pay for parking, and we went on a weekday. Maybe because it was cold, there weren’t many people. But it was beautiful place , totally worth it we had some wonderful pic

Beautiful clean park with tons of picnic tables and grills for cooking. We went there to hike and check out the waterfall, but now we are going to come back with our Jetski and enjoy the beach!

Beautiful state park. We went towards the end of July thinking the beach would be packed, but we were the only ones there on a Thursday morning. Upon entry to the park you will be greeted by a gate attendant. Price is $10, unless you have CT plates. From the gate it was a minute drive to get to the parking lot to the beach. No lifeguard on duty that day, so the flag to swim was yellow. The beach was clean and there was a large gaggle of geese towards one end. Careful sitting under the trees or around the picnic tables as you may touch sticky sap. Overall, the kids enjoyed the water- they said it was very shallow and the temperature was just right as they weren't cold at all coming out of the water.

The waterfall here is absolutely gorgeous, it’s a short 5 minute walk from the small parking lot off the side of the road. There is a deep pool of water where people like to jump in as well, however the water has tons of rocks in the water that can’t be seen on the surface so you need to land within a certain area to not get hurt by the rocks. You need to be very careful.

Very peaceful and cute place. The lady and the gentleman on the ice cream truck are adorable.
Plenty of parking (fixed price ticket is for the whole day for single entry). Just set your expectations if you want to swim in the water that it is shallow to a great extent which makes it unclear.
