High praise for the men and women’s clothing buyer and designer. So much elegant yet practical clothing. Jackie was most helpful in finding pants that fit my body type, so I walked out with two pairs of pants,, one matching jacket, and a timeless cardigan sweater that ties charmingly at the neck.

When the pandemic hit I adjusted many priorities, my wardrobe included. Now I focus more on quality, fit, natural fibers, and timeless styles and Plain Goods offers all of that. Plus, I appreciate the staff's honest opinion, absent any upsell, with “not for you” in equal amounts of “you pull off well.” As I'm not a big browser, the store’s layout makes it an easy stop when passing through New Preston.

Aside from the beautiful store design, clothing, home accessories & decor, the staff at Plain Goods are by far one of the kindest people I have met at a store. I was a little nervous bringing my 5 year old inside because they have beautiful things that I didn’t want him to break. The owner, Michael and his beautiful mother, were so sweet and kind to my son, engaging him in conversation and when my son asked us to buy a beautiful hand made blue fan for him, the owner gifted it to him. On top of that, my husband’s knee was injured and they cleared a chair for him to sit while I shopped. I wish I could give this store a million star rating. I loved this store the first time I visited and I love it even more now. Thank you for your kindness and for making my son feel so special!!

What an amazing store. It is so beautifully curated to the point I could spend hours looking at all of the merchandise and there are surprises around every corner. I have bought most of my closet staples at Plain Goods - all timeless and so well made. And last but certainly not least the staff is amazing - always pulling new items that they know I will love, such a personalized experience. I highly recommend spending some time here when you are in the area.
