We rented the pavilion for my daughter's birthday party...it was perfect! Plenty of table space with picnic tables, and easy enough for us to decorate the pavilion! It was a conveniently located next to the playground! The kids had so much fun playing on the playground while we were there! The playground is a great size with lots for the kids to do, and the toddler area is a separate section with its own fence to keep the younger children from running out to the big playground, but also accessible to the bigger playground as well! Renting the pavilion was super simple through the town website. The only disappointment for us that day was that there wasn't any actual restrooms available nearby as the town pool was closed. We only had access to a porta-potty in the parking lot. I was also a little disappointed at how many strings, pieces of tape, streamer, etc were leftover on the tables and hanging from the rafters in the pavilion from previous parties. Would have been nice if people could have fully cleaned up their remnants of party decorations.

A cool little park, the Southington Drive In sits with in the park property. There are a lot of picnic tables & benches all around the park. They have a nice playground with a pavilion next to it. There's a large pool & a kiddie pool with a water umbrella in it. They have baseball fields, basketball, tennis & volleyball courts. Bathrooms are open seasonally, but there are port-o-potty's all over the park. There's ample parking with a little pond & a nice water fountain in the center too.

An adult friend had a birthday party here. This place is AWESOME. Very kid focused. They organize real activities for them. Like a big group field day (if you remember grammar school, like I barely do). There is a pavilion with picnic tables. The snack bar (really NICE staff) for weekend of 7/28. Because my buddy is at that age where he and all his friends have kids the same age, he and his wife opted for this space. Fun, safe, wholesome. Plus - the weather was perfect. If you're local - consider supporting the place.
