Redeemer's AME Zion Church

Redeemer's AME Zion Church in Plainville, Conn. is welcoming , caring and refreshing community with a heart for "walking with Jesus."
I discovered it via Rev. Dr. Shelley Bible Study To Go (online), which has been a consistent source of online study on Wednesdays for me for the past year or so. I am not new to Bible Study; yet, I find her perspectives and radical hospitality refreshing.

Then the pandemic hit. And while there are seemingly an infinite amount of churches with which to worship virtually, I enjoy being part of the worship and fellowship experiences of Redeemer's Church virtually. It's in my home state, continuously welcoming and caring. And the Pastor/Messenger of the church provides thought-provoking messages to guide us to walk with Jesus, love our neighbors as we love ourselves and to stand up for justice of all types however we can. I find this quite refreshing!

I lover Redeemer's! A warm and welcoming, family-oriented faith community, Redeemer's is great place to worship, fellowship and grow in faith. The church offers programs that recognize the connection between mind, body and spirit and the importance of community development and service. Redeemer's is the church where I grew up, I was baptized in this church like many of my family members. I spent the majority of my life in this Amazing church !! I was 9 years old when I sang my first solo, "Precious Lord". My Grandmother and my Auntie Jeannie started the choir the Calverettes, from there on My Music Ministry Grew. Redeemers is my home Church and my Family and its been that way, even up until now. My relationship with God has so much to do with my upbringing in Redeemers and I'm Truly, Thankful *Grateful and Blessed !! "All are Welcomed to Worship at Redeemers AME Zion Church" ❤🙏🏾

I LOVE this church. I'm not a member because I have a church home in Waterbury, however, Reedemer's is my church home away from my church home! So many beautiful souls here, and the pastor Dr. Best is a fellow yogini. Ever since the pandemic I have still been able to keep in touch through their online ministry. They have an entire schedule for the week so you are never out of touch. Amazing church, highly recommended!
