We had a great experience with The Summit. While my dad’s stay there was only a week before he passed, everyone there was so good to my dad. The call I got in the early morning hours that he had passed was so kind, they gave us time with him, everyone was so amazing, kind and gracious.
I can honestly feel good about having my grandma here. Imagine how people act if they knew they were being watched and audited. That's how caring they are to everyone. Especially with how difficult needy patients can be. Very impressed with their efforts.
My mom is new to the facility. She is doing well and she is happy. The CNAs have been excellent and have already learned that my mom us happiest when she is helping. Thank you all.
From the second you walk in this facility you feel a sense of wonderful, cozy friendly atmosphere. Everyone is cheerful and very pleasant portraying work ethic in a calm and relaxed manor. The patients appear relaxed, smiling and conversational with each others as well as staffing. Definitely an inviting place to have our special love one care for.
My Mom was a patient/resident of the Summit until her passing. It was difficult to place her in a facility. One hears and reads terrible stories, but sadly the level of care she had come to need could no longer be provided at home. I feel confident we made the right choice in choosing the Summit. As a family we made sure she was visited daily and saw for ourselves that the staff, nurses, cna's dr's & nurse practitioners took excellent care of my Mom. She wasn't an easy patient either. I can attest to that myself. Lol I was kept apprised of any medical or treatment changes at all times. All the interactions we had with any staff members were always pleasant. Everyone was kind and respectful. Staff dealing directly with Mom were caring and patient. The facility is older but is kept clean & nicely decorated. Especially for the holidays.
I would not hesitate in recommending the Summit of Plantsville to anyone for short or longterm care for their loved ones.
I'd like to thank the entire staff for caring for Mom during her time of need. I'm including a picture of Mom during her better days.
