They put a new clutch in for my 2018 ford focus, done quickly and great price. Very knowledgeable, would highly recommend.
Took my car to Toyota for a transmission issue and was charged $2k and the issue was never fixed. Got the run around. Wayne replaced the Transmission module for a third of what I paid Toyota and fixed the issue with no problems thereafter. My Subaru had a transmission solenoid issue that the dealer wanted $3k to fix, Wayne replaced both solenoids And a much needed drive belt for half that price. Wayne is a smart techie guy who actually educates his customers on the issue and resolution. I wish more mechanics were like him and his helpful wife. Thank you so much!!
I've been a customer for years and highly recommend them to friends and family
Very knowledgeable, great service, fair prices, honest and trustworthy.
Just had to go back to Wayne and Chris with what i was told by others was a trans issue and would be very costly involving a used trans swap, a rebuild or new trans. I was looking a $5000 to $8000. Andover Transmission fixed it for $300 which included a trans servicing. Turned out to need a new nut and a big hammer to beat the lever flat. Love this place. They could have told me and charged me anything but they're honest and reliable. Had my truck back in a day and like new.
Hi. Normally I don’t write reviews. But these days it is so hard to find a mechanic shop to trust. I feel like I need to leave a review. I had a service done on my ram 1500 transmission a couple years ago not from here a different place And it never ran right ever since then. So I brought it into Andover transmission to have them look at it I also have some other work that I want done and some parts that I want it put on, but they actually told me to wait to see if the transmission was OK or not so I wanna end up costing me a lot of money. Which I thought was really nice. They could’ve just did all the work and said this is what you owe. So they checked my transmission and it was just a little low, which they could’ve also told me there was something wrong with it and they didn’t so I filled it up and then I had other work done. They do do other work besides transmissions the rates are also really fair there compared to a lot of other shops around the lady at the front desk is very very nice and the mechanics name I think is Chris who is also very nice. They’re just really good honest people. If you’re nervous about taking your car somewhere and worrying about getting ripped off, go to Andover transmission and they will take care of you.
Transmissions are complex and expensive components, and it can be incredibly scary when you're faced with transmission issues. When my transmission begun acting up, I feared the worst. Wayne was incredibly thorough and spent the time to troubleshoot and identify the exact issue, rather than throw expensive parts at it and hope for the best. When I got the car back, it drove and felt better than when I first bought it.
That service was done about 6 or 7 years ago. I don't own the car anymore and I don't even live in the state anymore, but I still think fondly about this shop and the positive experience I had. The sense of relief that I felt after getting my car back wasn't just because of the repair that was done - it was the relief of knowing that I had found a shop that I could trust. It seems harder and harder to find an honest mechanic, but that's what you'll find here at Andover Transmission.
