Their response to a negative feedback are super entertaining so I secretly want to leave a false bad review, but they were super friendly, helpful, and was generous with advices for a beginner angler like me. 5 stars! Maybe ill still get roasted. A man can hope haha

I have been a customer of Betty&Nick's for forty years. The owners and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have Bait, Tackle, Reel & Rod Repair a nice attached restaurant great waitresses & cook. You will never leave hungry if you eat there as they give you plenty of food that's delicious. The memories, laughs, and fishing advise is free. I have learned a lot about Surf Fishing from owner John Bushnell and His Helpers. And His Wife Tammy runs a great little restaurant. My Opinion "The Best Bait and Tackle Shop in the Island Beach State Park area"

Great bait and tackle shop! Been going here 55+ years. John and his staff are very knowledgeable on every subject related to fish, gear and fishing. He recently set me up with a rod and reel combo that was perfect for stripers. Always the freshest bait
The luncheonette is perfect too for that great meal to keep your energy up.

I was going on the site to check fishing reports and conditions, and somehow decided to look at the reviews. Some say the food was bad, I find that impossible. I have eaten there numerous times over many years, the food is always delicious!!! As far as the shop doesn’t have a big selection, it doesn’t. But John always has what you need! Ask him or whoever is working what tackle you need, they will help. From a personal side, John has always been generous and supportive of the local fishing clubs and associations.

Very cool place. Great service and food, breakfast and lunch on the left side and outside, bait and tackle shop on the right side.
Fair prices and great portions. My wife and I could have split a breakfast.
