Local sandwich shop that makes some good home made sandwiches!
Legendary long running sandwich shop. Been eating Stash's subs for 45 years. Simply the best tuna and swiss subs anywhere. Looking forward to the re-opening! UPDATE: new ownership is awesome! Tuna and Swiss, along with a Ham and a Swiss were next level sandwiches. Its hard to say it, but they may even be better than they were. Great job to the new owners. Thank you for saving a Kearny Legend!!! Go!!!
I’ve been going to Stash’s for 35+ years. This was my first time since the new ownership and renovation. First let me say this is exactly what the place needed, the interior was updated but still gives you that nostalgic feel. My Sub was very well dressed and full of meat. Prices are still very good and there is more space for seating now. The only thing missing is Clinton’s Iced Tea. Sadly it doesn’t exist anymore. Best Sub Shop Around. 5 Stars.
Love the sandwiches from this place, tried it after hearing about the new ownership too but unfortunately found mold in my sandwich bread :(
Longtime Big Stash's customer now living in Virginia. Had major concerns about new ownership. Here ye, here ye, this review is to declare to all concerned that Tuna sub is the same high quality that it always was. I transported a sub to Virginia, and the new owner took great pride in ensuring the product was correctly packaged for the long trip. Subs now placed in a stashes box that adds a bit of panache to great sandwich. The update to the place is a great refresh, while retaining the charm that was always the amazing experience at Big Stash's. If you were afraid of returning to your childhood sub shop, Fear not, it is still the awesome institution of sandwiches you remember. My cousin, who is not from the area, ordered a cheesesteak sub and I'll quote her here, "THIS IS THE BEST CHEESE STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD". Pretty work and a seamless turnover! Thanks.
