Stood there this weekend and was very pleased with the room! Air conditioning was pumping and most of all room was very clean!đź‘Ś
Room was basic but clean and more than sufficient for my needs. I prefer to stay in simple digs like this when I travel because I'm spending most of my time sightseeing. The shared bathrooms were also clean and well maintained. There's a manager named Vinny who lives on-site and is very personable and good at what he does. Cappuccio's Hotel is a lovely old building that's full of character and has been standing since 1902. It's also located about a 20 minute's drive from Gunnison Beach and Sandy hook NP and historic Fort Hancock and 10 minute walk from Keansburg beach and amusement park. Keansburg NJ is nice working-class resort area across Raritan Bay from NYC inhabited by unpretentious, normal, folks.
Great location, extremely affordable, great owners that will spare ya the time to talk to ya, walking distance to bars and the beach, plus it's quiet at night! It really was a great find on my trip with my pop's out to New Jersey. Can't recommend enough, as long as you aren't looking for super fancy stuff, you will find the amenities just fine.
