I come to the area for business about once every quarter. I love staying at The Molly Pitcher. It’s got a funky little vibe and a very friendly staff. Admittedly, the standard double rooms are very small. However, the kings are quite nice and have plenty of room. The restaurant and bar are great for a hotel, and dozens of other great restaurants are within easy walking distance. The views are great from the dining room and rear deck and pool.
I recently had a snafu with our company’s travel agency where they sent the booking for the wrong room type. The staff was very accommodating and worked with me to make it right. The supervisor, Jeff, was very helpful and made sure my rates would still reflect the rates of the booking. I thought it was going to be a hassle, but he made it easy-peasy! I highly recommend this hotel if you like offbeat and unique places.
Great view, comfortable bed. Rooms have paper thin walls, high gaps under doors letting in a lot of light and extra noise. No ceiling fans in the room. Pillows are absolute crap! Extremely soft and no support whatsoever. With only 2 hotels in the main area, your stuck with this one or Oyster Point. Old hotel and some areas really show it, while others are much more updated. Extremely small bathroom with mostly cold water. Door basically hits the toilet seat. Tub is very shallow. Definitely not worth the price.
Another wonderful stay at the Molly Pitcher Inn. We had a delicious meal in the bar restaurant and also the dining room.
The rooms were very comfortable with beautiful view of the Navesink river. The staff is very respectful and kind and excellent customer service. We experienced this from the people who opened the doors, to the front desk to register, to the servers in the bar room and dining room, the housekeeping staff. I felt they treat you like you are their own family! Just loved the whole experience.
Debbie in the restaurant went over and beyond, she was awesome and worth the visit as well as Jake. Outstandingservice . The staff were also very accommodating and very friendly. The rooms were a bit old, small and could use some improvement, especially the bathroom. We were there for my nephews wedding Sept 26 and everything was so beautiful. Again I can't express enough of the Outstanding service from Debbie and Jake!!
The location is great as far as being on the water where the boats are docked. I didn't sense anything else was within walking distance, but I wasn't familiar with the area. Seems it's a popular place for wedding parties. The hotel is old (historic), but seemed clean and well kept. Breakfast was a bit slow, but really good tasting and friendly service. Nice bar and outdoor seating. Pool area looked very nice, but I didn't have enough time to give it a try.
