Lindsay is very knowledgeable but also listens to my concerns and addresses them. She is a a good listener and explains things so that I understand. Lindsay is good person who wants to do the best for her patients and it shows with all that she does. She goes above and beyond!
I was referred through glowing recommendations, but I was not quite prepared for how deeply helpful, educational, and relaxing my first session would be. I have been to some great PT in the past for post partum work, and now in my second pregnancy I am thrilled to be under the care and hands-on approach that Dr. L provides! What an impact!
Dr. Lindsay is the full package. She can meet her clients on an emotional, spiritual, and physical level, integrating different approaches to wellness and facilitating ultimate healing. I started my work with her while seeking assistance during my first pregnancy. As a trauma-informed mental health therapist myself, I was super impressed with her holistic and grounded approach to all things body-mind. After years of tight hips, with only a few sessions, I was shocked to see lasting changes in chronic back pain and stubborn tight hip muscles. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience or her approach. Would give 6 stars if I could.
By God’s grace, I have been either pregnant or nursing for the last nine years. My husband and I have three beautiful children, ages 7, 4, and 1 1/2. I went through midwives for each pregnancy, hoping for a natural birth, but each birth ended in c-section. I thought that because of repeat c-sections and carrying big babies, I would just have to accept my stomach would always look like I was about three months pregnant. I had no idea that it was because of diastisis recti that my stomach looked this way. I also didn’t know that I could do something about it. My chiropractor recommended some exercises to help close the separated abdominal muscles. This worked somewhat, but after two months of exercise, they were still stretched apart. Then Dr. Brett suggested I make an appointment with Dr. Lindsay Schmitz, a physical therapist who shared an office with them.
I thought that the way to heal my ab separation was to work harder. Dr. Lindsay showed me that it was not about working harder, it was about breathing and letting go. Two things I find hard to do!! Much more difficult than just exerting more effort. Because of Dr. Lindsay, I am learning how to breathe in a whole new way. This new way is not only more effective and efficient, but is also relaxing my muscles, so that the separation is actually closing and I am becoming much stronger in my pelvic floor–––the muscles that were weakened with repeat c- sections. I know that as I continue to meet with Dr. Lindsay, and do what she has suggested at home, I will continue to see improvement. Thank you Dr. Lindsay!

Dr. Lindsay is INCREDIBLE. She has helped me tremendously! She addressed things with me that no other Dr. ever picked up on. The pelvic floor is often not addressed and yet so many challenges are linked to it - digestive, back pain, and more. My body always feels rejuvenated whenever I leave her office and I am super grateful to have her in my wellness and whole body health toolbox.
