I would strongly caution anyone considering Karen for their doctor. Please hear me: I had a 14 year relationship with Karen as my doctor. For a long time she was a life savor. Tragically, that was thrown aside. We had a regiment for countless years. I was blindsided when she refused to refill prescriptions causing me to go days without mental health support. She ignored my cries for help over these last few weeks after promising to help me as I transition to a new form of care. After 14 years, I never would have thought she was the type of professional to put someone’s health in danger.
As my dad would say, “ she may not be in first place, but she's way ahead of whatever is in second.” I'm glad she found my problem and used pills to fix it. It does no good to know and talk about your problems since that is the exact reason you at the Doctors, because talking isn't fixing things. What I really like is when I just was not feeling OK, she said, that's not good and we'll try other things until you do feel good, rather than just settle for second best. Also, when I was back to normal she was always open to reducing medication, and seeing the results.
I have been seeing Dr Opdyke for many years. She is very caring and thoughtful. She analyzes your situation and symptoms to determine the best treatment. She is usually on time unless with a patient who runs over a few minutes which I don’t mind because she tries not to cut patients off who may need a couple extra minutes. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Opdyke is so amazing. So easy to talk to and I never felt as good in my life as I have since seeing her. Would recommend her to anyone needing help!
