The BEST Mexican restaurant in Keyport by far! The food is fresh and authentic. Our favorites are the guacamole, Birria tacos, beef empanadas and the chicken burrito. A super sweet family owns it and I always feel at home there. It’s BYOB and I love sitting outside in the summer. Don’t miss the homemade flan!
We ate here this afternoon for the first time. The food was very good. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were moderate. We recommend you try it.
Very authentic food and atmosphere. On a good day their Carnitas Burrito (slow-cooked shredded pork burrito) is to die for. Local kids stop by here for their nachos. If it's nice grab some burritos and walk to the nearby Cedar Street Park and stare at the NYC skyline.
Food was just ok. The rice and black beans was very salty and my bistek was not the typical bistek flavor I am used to having at many other Mexican places.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating however there is no a.c. indoors, so we opted for outdoors yesterday (July) but thank goodness it was not a hot evening. The floor indoors towards the cashier and restrooms is very slippery/greasy.
Service is towards the slower side only because they only have one person managing the register, taking ordsrs, and serving. Despite this, she was moving around as best as she could in a friendly manner.
The coca cola is a 335ml bottle from Mexico made with cane sugar (slightly better ingredients than the American coca cola.
I ordered to go. When I arrived, everything was polished and colorful. I could smell the sabor. I ordered the barbacoa pork burrito, chicken nachos and a mole tamale. The green salsa oh, wow. Each item was 5 stars, in my opinion. (I stopped eating for a moment and said to myself what can I say in a review?) I can attest to the authenticity and the wonderful flavor portion size and togetherness of this restaurant and it's offerings. From the muy Linda senorita at the service counter to my satisfied appetite 5 stars!
