Dr Linda Girgis and her staff have been outstanding. Thank you for all that you have done for me and continue to do. 🙏❤️
I had an excellent visit on Teladoc with Dr. Girgis. It was for a sinus infection and my goal was to get an antibiotic that I have taken many times. Dr. Girgis explained, in an empathatic way, that I'm reaching for wrong solution, fixing the symptoms and not the problem. What stood out for me was the empathy, care, and time I was given by Dr Girgis. It's easy to write the Rx and rush you off the phone on Saturday morning, but he really cared for my long term health and not just this episode. Even though I felt desperate, he gave me hope. He also prescribed various medications including the antibiotic so that I have options if his initial recommended prescription and course of action does't work.
There's a reivew just below this one about the same exact situation that gives him a one star and here's my take on Alyssa's review. Dr. Girgis is clearly principled, not because he sees patients as children, but because giving you exactly what you want isn't always right for the patients long term health. If you check your ego and listen, you could have the same experience I did, with a Doctor that showed up as one of the most caring physicians in my 44 years.
I would give a higher rating if this review was just for Dr. Linda Girgis alone. But for years now I've had so much trouble with the way the office is run that I don't know if I can stay with this practice. I like Dr. Linda very much. She is warm and caring and I feel she listens well. The problem is that as nice as some of her office staff are; things that should and could be taken care of quickly are not even done without repeated phone calls. Prescriptions aren't sent in, getting authorization for needed tests just sit there on a list. Either they need more office help (although there always seems to be a lot of people working) or they need better procedures and better trained employees. I can barely walk right now and my Insurance company has not received the request for the MRI after 2 days. United Health told me once it's submitted it only takes an hour to find out if it's been approved. Unfortunately it hasn't been submitted. I had to call several times to get a prescription. One of two was faxed to CVS. The other never was even after two phone calls. Dr. Linda is great. The office is seriously lacking I'm sorry to say.
