I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with having my first baby. Every single person who works in this practice (midwives, nurses, office staff) make you feel like you are a part of a family. You are never rushed through an appointment and they are always there to listen and answer questions, including phone calls and during off hours times. Leslie delivered my baby at JSMC and even with some small complications in the beginning, both her and Patti were at my bedside throughout the night and day checking in on me. We had to change some aspects of my delivery, but I knew I was in good hands and had a beautiful delivery and baby boy in the end. I could not recommend this practice more. Don’t even hesitate- they are the best!

Just delivered my second baby using the midwives and have had the best experience with them all around. All of the midwives are excellent. Leslie was on call for my delivery and she was so comforting, calm and collected. My birth plan was followed to a T and there was never pressure to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with, as I have had with other OBs. Highly recommend using the midwives.

About halfway through my first pregnancy, I transferred over to the Midwives at Avon and I could not be happier with my decision. Overall, there is such a sense of personalized care with all the midwives in the practice. You can feel that they truly care for their patients, pregnancies and babies and always make the time to answer all questions during appointments. I had the most time with Patty and Louise and they were both amazing. Patty seems so passionate and motherly in her care. Louise was the midwife on duty during my 32 hour labor and stayed with me through the eventual c-section I needed. Not only was this level of dedication impressive, it was so meaningful and helpful during the highs and lows of labor. I would recommend these midwives to any mothers-to-be and will be sticking with them moving forward.

I am SO thankful for these women, Dr. Leslie in particular! I have been going to the midwives way before I got pregnant for my regular visits. She listened to my concerns with certain birth controls and helped me find what worked for me. Then when I met my husband and we wanted to start a family, I knew I wanted Dr. Leslie to deliver my baby. I am considered to be of advanced maternal age and the midwives helped me to feel confident and comfortable throughout my pregnancy. I didn’t have to wait in the office long for my visits and they answered all of my questions without rushing. I was able to meet all of the midwives throughout my pregnancy and came to realize that I would be lucky to have any of the midwives with me for my birth. It ended up that I went into labor early and Dr. Leslie delivered my daughter. She made all of the right decisions and was a strong comfort while I had unmedicated contractions (my choice). She came to check up on me the next day and I gladly let her hold my new baby. It felt like letting family hold her. She truly cares for all of her patients. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone!!
