Our father in-law was very blessed to be accepted here. The staff and the space is dignified, peaceful and considerate of all needs. The rooms are elegantly decorated and the bed is a large single bed. They provide a portable cot bed and also the room has a chair that leans back for better rest for the guests. There is a shared lounge area, office/meeting room, meditation room, kitchen area with refreshments and endless coffee. There is a beautiful outdoor dining area and also indoor space to eat meals. Also a charging station for all kinds of devices.
We truly could not say enough good things about this hospice facility, its director, the nurses, the aides and all its staff. When my mother got really sick, we weren't so sure about sending her to a hospice. But a chance conversation with an ICU doctor helped us understand the hospice we would be going to would be incredibly caring, understanding and respectful. The doctor was right and more. The hospice provided excellent care for my mom in her last 2 weeks on earth - they always made sure she's comfortable and cared for in a respectful and dignified way. The nurses also provided much comfort and compassion to the family. They made sure we understood what was happening to our mother, what may lie ahead for her and responded tirelessly to each and every question and concern we have for her.
Lastly, the environment of the hospice is warm, clean, restful and comfortable. For the families staying with their loved ones, there are common spaces like the sunroom, Cafe and terrace to take a breather or step away for a moment. No one ever thinks about going to a hospice - this place provides beautiful care and comfort to those would need it.
