Denise is the best - a natural teacher. After a few years with another piano teacher, I hadn't seen much progress despite his great interest in music. I reached out to Denise at a friend's recommendation. Denise met with me, shared her teaching style and approach, painted a picture of how she would work with my son, and offered a lesson for them to get to know each other. I chose to switch teachers and never looked back. He was her student for around 6 years, played at Carnegie Hall 4 different times, and ended up joining his college marching band on synthesizer. She further developed his talent and love for music, and made me wish I'd switched sooner. I recommend her over any other music teacher my kids had over the years (multiple kids and instruments!). She connects so well with kids, and works with all ages and levels of talent and interest.
I was always amazed at her recitals how every kid came up and performed with such poise and composure - no stress, no tears, just ready to play. I attribute it all to Denise's calming presence and approach. Even if they make a mistake or two, they just play through. Exceptional for kids' recitals. I wish I had another potential piano player to send her way!

Denise is a fantastic and creative teacher who meets the kids where they are. My three children have all really loved their piano lessons. The solid, foundational music lessons they learned have been reflected in their school band experiences. Denise is fantastic and a lovely person, to boot!
Denise taught my three boys piano for 6 years. She is patient and kind and they learned a lot from her. She is great for younger students just starting the piano as she has experience working with younger children and is approachable. Highly recommend!
