My son has been training at Nassau High Percentage Tennis for little over a year. The group lessons are very well structured and engaging, with coaches actively overseeing each session and providing consistent feedback to every player.
The true standout is the Director, Joao Pinho. His vision for player development is clear and effective. What sets him apart is his incredible eye for small details and his ability to communicate corrections with a calm and encouraging nature, which has done wonders for my child's confidence and enjoyment of the game.
Under Joao’s guidance, we've seen remarkable improvement not just in technique, but also in match strategy and mental focus. He is genuinely invested in each player's growth, always willing to offer advice, whether on or off the court. His passion for the sport and for teaching is evident, and it inspires everyone around him.
I highly recommend this program to anyone passionate about tennis.
Nassau was my second home as they helped me go from a beginner tennis player all the way to playing college tennis. I went from the kids clinics to summer camps to high performance classes and every class was engaging and effective in its own way with games, skill specific drills, tournament-playing, rewards, fitness, and personable coaches. They are also thoughtfully geared towards different age groups and skill levels which gave me space to improve and practice without feeling either bored or intimidated. Really enjoyed my time and learned a lot here, 100% recommend.
Nassau Tennis is a wonderful tennis facility with a friendly staff comprised of professionals that will cater to students of all ages and skill levels. I am new to tennis, and William has been extremely patient and direct when teaching me the fundamentals of the sport. He creates a positive and fun learning environment in all of his classes, including private lessons and group clinics— I couldn’t recommend him more. I always look forward to coming back to Nassau Tennis Club because I am guaranteed to be greeted by the warmth of its community.
Nassau Tennis is fantastic! I highly recommend it. I have participated in adult clinics with Bennett, Tony, and Jay, and I have learned so much. The drills are fast-paced, focused, and well-organized. I've attended tennis drills at other places, but I have gotten the most out of Nassau instruction. What makes Nassau stand out is the individual instruction, the emphasis on movement, and the way everyone stays engaged and active, all while maintaining a positive energy.
My 12-year-old just started the junior program this year, and she loves it. She has improved significantly in just a couple of months, but most importantly, she enjoys going and has fun. We are fortunate to have Nassau in our area!
Both my kids (14 Yrs, 8 Yrs) train at Nassau, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their progress and the overall experience!
My daughter is in the High Percentage (HP) Program, and I am very happy and excited with the positive changes that I am seeing in the HP program since the time Jay P. joined as the new HP Director. There’s a clear shift toward emphasizing consistency, and her confidence continues to grow with each session. The coaching staff is exceptional, bringing a wealth of playing and coaching experience at the highest level. With the new methodology, there is now a stronger focus on physical drills, which is translating into improved performance during match plays. Additionally, the coaches incorporate video analysis to offer constructive feedback, helping my daughter refine the technical aspects of her game.
My son is in the Junior Transition program, and like my daughter, I am very pleased with his progress. He began as a Pee Wee about a year ago, and within just a year, he has advanced to the Transition program. The coaching staff, led by Seth M. (Junior Program Director), is exceptional. They are not only skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging with the children, creating a positive learning environment. The Junior program has been great for my son to build his tennis skills from the ground up. I'm really excited to see his continued growth, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the foundation the program has provided.
