Everything was excellent — from the ambiance to the food and service. The Dahi Bhalla, Dal Makhni, and Butter Chicken are must-tries. The Amritsari Kulche were large, perfectly made — soft, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyable.
We recently visited this restaurant and tried kurkure momos, chicken curry, pudina lacha paratha, and matar pulao. Everything tasted really good. The place was clean and had a nice vibe. The service was excellent, and the staff even helped us choose the dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.
I have been to many indian restaurants in many places and this one is definately one of the good ones! We wanted my dominican friend, who had never tasted indian cuisine, to have an authentic eperience and walked in to immediately be greeted by at least 25 indian women celebrating a birthday. Thats when I instantly knew: we came to the right place.
The food was amazingly flavourful and the portions were plenty.
The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was authentic and lively and we even got some birthday cake from the lovely ladies. What a joyous group they were.
The whole visit was a full success: Our bellies were filled, my friend is now another fan of indian food and me myself will definately come back if I am ever in the area.
Thanks for the great hospitality.
I visited this place and it didn’t meet my expectations. If you come to this place thinking you will have authentic punjabi food then this might not be the place for you. Food was very disappointing.
We ordered
Szechaun Noodles - i would give 4 out of 5, it was tasty but little cold.
Tandoori Soya Chap - I would give 3 out of 5, little oily
Haryali Paneer Tikka - i would give 5 out of 5, the only thing i liked the at the place. Everything was perfect with this dish
Panner butter malsa, daal tadka , roti- i would give 3 out of 5, it was not the great, more of sweet side
Jira rice - it was not cooked at all.
I would not come again to this restaurant
Update - 05/30/2025:
The quality of the food has really deteriorated. The floor is sticky and slippery and the staff is severing at each other in the dining hall.
The fish amritsari/ fried fish however still taste good.
But everything else just seemed over priced as compared to the quality.
The bhatoora was fried in stinky oil. The malai kofta was over sweet. Butter chicken - 🤦🏻♀️ such a disgrace.
We really loved this place at our first visit - but since then the quality has really deteriorated.
Authentic Punjabi Flavors & Amazing Ambiance!
Haveli Punjab Di brings the true essence of Amritsar to New Jersey with its vibrant Punjabi aesthetics and an incredible selection of dishes straight from the streets of Punjab.
Here’s what we tried:
Chilli Chicken Momos – Packed with bold flavors, perfectly saucy, and absolutely delicious.
Tandoori Chicken – Marinated in rich, smoky spices and cooked to perfection.
Amritsari Fish – A staff recommendation that did not disappoint! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with mooli and chutney.
Choley Bhature – Nothing short of perfection! Fluffy bhature paired with flavorful choley.
The Star of the Show – Amritsari Kulcha – Buttery, crisp, and bursting with flavors, served with chutney, dahi, and choley. Just like the ones in Amritsar!
We were already full, but we couldn’t resist the main course:
Dal Makhani & Tandoori Roti – Creamy, rich, and an absolute comfort meal that made us overeat—totally worth it!
Hats off to Haveli Punjab Di for an unforgettable food experience. We’ll definitely be back for more!
