I have purchased a number of items from High Point over several years, and my experiences have consistently been excellent. My most recent purchase was what I consider a gem of a telescope—the Apertura Carbon Star 200. As with most of my purchases from High Point, I spoke with a knowledgeable representative by phone and email, and the level of professionalism was exactly as advertised: very high, with absolutely no pressure to buy.

I have encountered the same level of professionalism when dealing with technical issues. My most recent experience with Andrew went exactly as I had hoped. He even went so far as to send a follow-up email to make sure everything was resolved. High Point Scientific’s videos are a true reflection of how they treat their customers—with knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care.

I recommend High Point Scientific for anyone purchasing a telescope or other items offered by them. Patrick Sutton provided above and beyond customer service when I needed help with my telescope, which arrived damaged from transit. Within a few steps, Patrick advised me of the steps to take in order to have a replacement shipped. After expressing my concern over the proximity to Christmas and this being my only gift for a 10 year old, Patrick had the order replaced immediately and I received it in time. He also took additional steps to be sure that it was not damaged before shipments, called me to see if I received the shipment and make sure it did not get damaged during shipment. I even received a followup email to ask if the child enjoyed the surprise! (She loves it by the way). High Point is not new to my family, but was new to me. I plan to shop here again, I hope anyone reading this will, too!

Spoke with Kurt regarding a large purchase I was going to make investing in a William Optics UltraCat. He took the time to make suggestions, made sure I had everything I needed to get my new rig going, answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the products and what other options to consider. I have now made my 5th purchase from the folks at HPS and based on my interactions in the past with Kurt and other Gear Experts at HPS, I would say that you can trust these guys and gals to steer you in the right direction without any upselling pressure as they try to tailor the solution to what your goals are. They are passionate about what they do and if you don't believe me, just catch on the of the infectious reviews that Teagan does to accompany certain products.

Talked with customer support representative Andrew Klinger. I was having trouble with my new ZWO Pro EAF, after changing out one of the interchangeable lenses on the new ASKAR V. Andrew suggested what I also suspected: that possibly a the EAF was at the end of its “travel”. I reset the EAF iT and put the unit back together; and it worked perfectly. It really means a lot for somebody to collaborate with you when you are anxious about new parts not working properly. I am back in business. Highpoint is a dependable supplier and is complete with reasonable delivery times and customer support. Being an expensive hobby, you try to make sure that your investment pays off. The people at High Point Scientific are great! I purchased a Askar 60F Flat-Field Refractor and wasn't certain what type of tripod I needed for tracking stars/planets. Kurt sent me an email (in a very timely manner) suggesting which one would best suit my needs! I am very pleased with the support and advice he gave me! I am also very pleased with the shipping - my telescope arrived within four days of ordering it. I highly recommend this company if you are interested in purchasing high grade telescopes and tripods!
