Great place to walk the pup, bike ride or just to decompress. Trails are in excellent shape!

One of my favorite places to visit and hike the park! It has a great foot bridge across Smithville lake. This place is great for families and dog friendly!

Always beautiful and pretty each time I go. Lots of parking but make sure you park where the kayak launch is or where the other public parking is. I love walking across the lake.

What a local gem! I thought I had found all the South Jersey local gems, but this one somehow got past me until now. Beautiful cared for grounds and garden areas, lots of clean picnic benches, nice short trails that still make you feel like you’re in the woods, great for all ages; not to mention very interesting piece of local history.

I genuinely love this place and know it like the back of my hand. I’ve lived here for 2 years and visit about once a week. The trails are beautiful and always well kept. I’ve seen deer, turkey, chipmunks, vultures, turtles, cardinals, blue jays and others I’m sure I’m forgetting. The only downside is everyone seems to know about this place and it gets pretty crowded, especially on weekends. In the summer it can be especially clustered with kids. There’s often people walking the trails and smoking or unleashed dogs running around but I know not everyone understands trail etiquette. I recommend visiting on weekdays during the morning hours.
