Omg why did I do this to myself! Falafel awful - grease city. Seems like they make them because of shape but I've only had fava bean falafel flat not the traditional chickpea version . Hummus & Pita - average. If it doesn't make me sick then I would say it's fine and can pass. Lamb Shawarma wrap - no garlic sauce. Their sauce is a white sauce with close to no flavor served with my falafel also when it said it would come with tahini. Lamb - soft, slight middle eastern flavored - if it doesn't make me sick it's edible. No pickles in it which is the best part of a shawarma sandwich. In my opinion don't say it comes in it if you don't have them. Soft Mediterranean style pita. Similar to the bagged kind at ShopRite. I should have went to Evans in cliffwood for falafel and hummus. Atleast I would have enjoyed my food even if it cost more. This was a waste of money. Nice clean place tho. They need to up their game. They are not professionals by any means.

Another local business with good food and service. We went for lunch and had the mixed grill with lamb shawarma and salad. The platter came with one chicken kabob and two koftas. For appetizer we ordered the falafel. The 5 patties were perfectly spiced and moist. Please come out and support your local business.

What an incredible experience at Holmdel Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The space was immaculate, the service was genuinely warm, and the food? Absolutely delicious.

The three brothers who run the place couldn’t have been more charming. They pampered our baby and entertained our 8 year old, chatted with us like old friends, and made the entire experience feel special. It’s the kind of hospitality that’s rare these days and so appreciated.

This is exactly the kind of neighborhood restaurant Holmdel needs: heart, flavor, and community. We can’t wait to return and dive into the Mediterranean menu next time!

I'm always on the hunt for Mediterranean food, so I decided to give this spot a try for lunch. And Im glad I did! We ordered the Chicken Shawarma sandwich, falafel, and Hawawshi, and everything was absolutely delicious. The fries that came with both dishes were crispy and flavorful. My only suggestion would be to add more authentic Mediterranean desserts to the menu.
Can't wait to come back and try more of what they have to offer!

I had a fantastic experience at Holmdel Restaurant and Cafe! I tried the kabob sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious—the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The restaurant itself was spotless, spacious, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's clear they care about both quality and customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back soon! Highly recommended.
