My experience with Home Helpers of Somerset deserves more than 5 stars! Susan (the owner) is very upbeat and takes the time on the first call to get to know your needs so she can line up a good match. In my case she lined me up with someone truly wonderful. Followup was excellent. Periodic calls were routine to make sure everything was going smoothly.

Susan Chiang, the director of Home Helpers, was recommended by our mother's neighbor. Our mom needed care after a fall and rehabilitation. Susan was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about what’s needed during the insurance experience and eager to help. She came to our mother's house on several occasions to check for herself that everything was alright. Both ladies, Hemlatta and Tess, were grade A. Caring, helpful, and useful. We felt completely secure with them, and we were right. I can't say enough about Susan and the aids she used. They helped my mother transition from patient to functioning adult again, taking special care to ensure that she had proper nutrition and hydration and took her medication properly, in addition to ensuring that her house was safe for her to move around in. Thank you, Susan and your wonderful aids. You made a potentially stressful situation into a caring and rewarding one.

After my mother had a bad fall resulting in multiple broken bones, a miserable experience at both the hospital and rehab, I was expecting the poor care to continue once she was able to finally go home with the help of an aide. A neighbor recommended I call Susan Chiang at Home Helpers who he had used successfully after his shoulder replacement surgery. I feel so lucky to have had that recommendation. Susan is very knowledgeable about what’s needed and interfacing with insurance companies. She made this process so easy, fast and pleasant. She checks on everything and even billing is easy. On short notice, she chose a weekday aide and a weekend aide to help my mother during the time she couldn’t manage by herself. Both ladies, Hemlatta and Tes, were the most wonderful I could ever have hoped for - professional, smart, caring, clean, helpful, reliable, respectful and great company for her. Such high quality help was a pleasant surprise after the horrors we’d experienced so far in her prior care and stories we’d heard about home care. Our family was very relieved to have them watching out for her needs every day while we couldn’t be there. Now that mom has recovered, we are sad to give them up! I would absolutely call on them again if we’re ever in need of home help, no question. I highly recommend Home Helpers.
