Our first time to this Jersey shore and we went in the winter but if we ever come back in-season, this will be the first place we check for availability. You can't beat the location: boardwalk access and across from a beautiful wide beach. Our hosts were most gracious and knowledgeable about the area and our room was super cozy with a fireplace and walkaround balcony facing the ocean. An amazing experience to stay in a truly historic and comfortable place minutes from (most) everything the area has to offer!
Can’t recommend this hotel enough!!! You can’t beat the view and location. It’s a 10/10. I had a room in the top floor and our balcony looked right out to the ocean. Just perfect. The service was impeccable and they made us feel part of the family. Our room even had a fireplace! Perfect spot for a little stay-cation girls trip!
We were in Ocean Grove for a wedding and stayed at the Laingdon Hotel. What an amazing experience. Laura, you made out stay there so pleasant. Our room was beautiful and I can't say enough about the hospitality. I don't usually do reviews but had to for. All of us who stayed there Saturday night are still talking about what a wonderful hotel your family runs. Thank you!
I love, love, love the Laingdon! I stayed for the first time two years ago and was thoroughly charmed by the location, the building and the people. When I recently needed a getaway from my stressful job, going to Ocean Grove and The Laingdon Hotel was an easy choice, it's my go-to place! Actually, I'd be there even more if I could, with no other reason that I feel so at home. The rooms are all lovely but I have a favorite, with a wrap-around balcony open to the ocean and doors with screens so I can leave them open all night, listening to the surf and smelling the ocean air. An uncrowded beach, lovely places to walk and enjoy the ocean and the wonderful homes and gardens, one after another! Lots of nice shops and great food options close by. I've met and enjoyed many people during my stays. Best of all is the lovely family who own and manage the hotel, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I'll be back, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Excellent location a short walk across the street to the beach. We had a 3rd floor room with a balcony that wrapped around. Excellent view of the ocean and great sounds from the braking waves.
Be mindful of how you pack as there is no elevator. Sounds travel in the old building. We had Sasquatch walking and moving furniture in the room above for almost five hours last night. A bit disappointing. Some travelers are just rude…
Parking was a challenge on Sunday but a bit easier on Monday.
Website says there are staff available to help with luggage. There were none in sight.
The lobby did not smell fresh and clean. Just being honest here…
