It was my first time getting a Curly cut. The moment you walk in teela makes you feel so comfortable. She is very knowledgeable. I ask so many questions about how to style my hair and she answered every question. When she washes your hair you feel like you're in a hair spa. It was so relaxing and it felt great. My hair came out so beautiful. Teela is so sweet. I will be going back.

I got the “Custom Curly Cut” done by Leilani and she did great. i waited a little over a week to make an honest review about my hair. i hadn’t cut my hair in about 2 years so i was nervous but Leilani listened and made sure she did what i asked along with some of her feedback. i love my haircut. its even, looks like what i asked for, and now healthier. she even used products/styled it for how my hair is instead of putting in a bunch of random stuff that other places do. she talked me through how she did it and what she used. would definitely go back. not cheap for a good haircut, but the vibe of the place and all you get out of it.. i say it’s worth the money. also the consultation i did was online so i sent photos and answered questions through texts.

I have been going to Teela for almost 4 years and it’s not an exaggeration when I say finding her was a miracle. As someone with curly hair, being able to go to a hairdresser and letting them do their thing while still trusting your hair will come out good is everything. But on top of that you know your hair will come out good because one - Teela is just that good, but two - she listens and remembers her clients and what they like. I will be going here for the foreseeable future and if I ever move out of NJ I guarantee I’ll make the drive just for this haircut. If you’re on the fence about committing to a curly cut, do it and do it here!

I went to Lunar Locks for the first time and had such a great experience! I have curly hair, and it’s always been hard to find a hairdresser who truly knows how to cut curls, but Teela did an amazing job. She gave me a beautiful cut that added volume to my curls, and what I really loved is that she uses clean, organic products like Innersense.

Teela also took the time to teach me how to care for my hair and use my products the right way. I’m definitely coming back! The salon has such a welcoming atmosphere and a great vibe. I loved everything about it.

Kaleigh was very profesional & attentive the entire service. From booking , to explaining exactly how to get to the salon location , she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way.

The staff at Lunar Locks were very friendly & welcoming , it felt like home. They offer a great variety of refreshments that you can choose from before , during and after your service. My favorite one being the Santeria fresh mineral water dispenser.

I will definitely be back. And will be reading about this place to everyone for years to come.
