The customer service was A1. Wey patient with the questions i had and even assisted me with a great rate. I would suggest getting a non smoking room. All amenities is great as well. Inwuld give a 10 out of 10 despite the outside look. The room looks totally different.
Raising to two stars strictly because the cleaning staff were actually very nice and helpful.
I initially felt it was unsafe, but the location was convenient for me to get to work at the time, however. Stayed there for a total of around 18 days no congruently.
The first night I stayed the person at the front desk tried to charge me $30 more than what I had a reservation for until I reminded her I had a reservation. That room was fine. It was a king bed.
On a second booking, I booked a queen bedroom. The pictures online of it do not match description, but it did still suffice.
Third room had a broken door handle that I was told could not be fixed until the next day when maintenance came in. It looked as if someone had tried to break in and/or would be easy to break into. In addition to that the mesh by the window right where the latch to open the window from the inside is, but on the outside of the window was bent as if someone had tried to force entry into the room.
I voiced my opinion on this and other safety concerns to staff, but was either told they don’t exist or were not addressed until pushed.
Staff initially told me there were no other rooms available and no one there to fix the door. At some point they offered to move me to a room in the back of the building with no cameras (or rather the two cameras closest to the parking lot pointed in the direction of the sky, and not the ground) and had me more concerned with my safety so I decided to stay in the room I initially had and fix the door lock myself.
While sleeping the night after let’s call it a ghost or something happen to push a bag off of my bed onto the floor and made me believe that something was moving in the room or trying to get in. My first reaction was to call the police. Please showed up made a note of the door handle and frame and left when everything was deemed OK.
At the very least in regards to security at least local law-enforcement will assist even if Hotel staff does not.
After this incident, one staff member offered to refund me for that portion of my stay. I believe I did see the refund initially on my bank statement, but then was recharged. (I may be mistaken that the refund was even granted in the first place).
On the final few days of a need for stay in the area, I requested a different type of room. Front desk staff was kind enough to let me see the room prior to checking in due to the security issues of the previous room.
I decided against it and staff told me that the payment they took out of my account already prior to check-in would be refunded in a few days. Upon following up the next day, I was told I had to call the third-party however, the email stated that the number to call was there.
I offered to just check in and they keep the money, but they told me the room is already booked and unavailable. Shortly, there after another guest walked in and put the same type of room.
Eventually, the third-party number was given to me and I am currently waiting for the refund.
As an absolute necessity this place with needs. Price was lower than most other in the area. In regards to security and peace of mind, don’t expect staff to be forthcoming with you if there are any issues and/or helpful. Cleaning staff was pleasant and helpful.
Well my anxiety got the best of me. Have you been my first time dealing with a room like this, if you’re familiar with the houses & buildings in the area, you may not mind what concerned me initially.
Would stay again if absolutely needed.
Photos below are of the broken door handle prior to fixing it myself, the bent window frame from the outside and a non-tampered one for reference. The latch to open the window is directly opposite where that bend in the frame is so someone could potentially just take a screwdriver in, push, and slide the window open from the outside.
This hotel is hands down one of the best values I’ve found. Not only are the rates consistently lower than most big chains or extended stay options, but the quality here is surprisingly better.
The room is spotless, there are no strange smells, no lingering odors, just clean and comfortable. The bathroom even has that fresh “just cleaned with bleach” scent (in a good way, not overpowering), and everything from the counters to the tables is free of smudges and fingerprints. The attention to detail in cleanliness is top notch.
The amenities are exactly what you need: a comfortable bed, clean linens, a desk for working, a fridge and microwave, and even thoughtful touches like extra towels neatly folded and ready to go. The room feels welcoming, not worn out like many larger chain hotels in the same price range.
I honestly look forward to staying here every time I’m in town. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both affordability and quality without cutting corners. This hotel deserves recognition, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable stay.
My room is comfortable and handicapped accessible. The owner accommodated me at the last minute, which was very kind, because he didn't know I was disabled. It is quiet. The bed is comfortable, has blackout curtains and a fully stocked bathroom. Bathroom. And good AC. I don't know what more anyone would need. That's five stars for me!
